Need advice regarding replacing washer and dryer

Have a washer and dryer installed under a countertop, and on top of a short riser (just above floor level). Need to replace the washer and dryer but need advice on how to do so. Any advice or experience with this issue appreciated.

I think I would remove the countertop and buy a topper unit for the new washer and dryer.

We had a similar situation. We had the riser removed and by detailed measuring we were able to fit our new units under the existing countertop, with the washer and dryer now a few inches lower on the floor. Worth some measuring for us.

Was there anything under the riser? I cannot figure out why there is a riser.
