US Passport Processing Times Extended Again Amid ‘Unprecedented Demand’

It’s not news that Americans have recently been shaking off their pandemic-era shackles by booking overseas vacations in droves. But, if you’re planning an international trip that’s only a couple of months away and you need a new passport, you can no longer count on getting it in time.

Anything involving the fed is totally over the wall. Incompetence abounds.
How about a three year credit on the passport fees since covid shut down our planet ??? Huh govt ?
Extend our current passports for three years.

I read the same story. Don't know if it's exaggerated or we're just lucky. Sent our passports in for renewal and they were received at the processing center on Jan. 21, 2023. Had new passports in hand the first week of March. Just 6 weeks, including mailing them to us. Europe - here we come!!

Feel lucky. We applied for Fast Pass at same time and still awaiting approval
