Has anyone had good success transporting a vehicle from TV to the upper Mid-West? There are so many third party companies with varying prices to choose from but none will give me an estimate of how long it might take.

A lot of missing information. A valuable collector car, you would want it handled with kid gloves, insured for damages etc etc. To get a car from Florida to the midwest several options. Our neighbor drove their car, two drivers stopping only for fuel, to eat and bathroom.
In terms of won't say how long it will take, I expect they as a long distance mover, assemble many cars. load them into or on a truck and then take a trip. I expect if you require delivery on a particular day and time, it will be far more expensive.

What kind of vehicle? Motorcycle? There are some shipping concerns that ship only motorcycles. If your vehicle is a motorcycle let me know in this thread and I will post the name and number of one I’d recommend.

I looked for a carrier that was a direct door to door. Most Google search results are brokers that may use several carriers with possible transfers to different trucks. Try calling someone in your town that flips and or sells and buys cars. That is how I found a local carrier that has a weekly run from Ohio to Fla.

The Villages has a relocation department that was able help arrange shipping my car down at a competitive price.

I’ve used Keith’s Transport several times with great success. He hauls mostly specialty vehicles but he will do regular ones as well. He has an enclosed trailer which is great to guard against vehicle damage. His price was commensurate with other quotes I received. He lets you know exactly when the car will be delivered which others wouldn’t, it was only a couple of days after pickup. Hope this helps. Keith’s Transport- (727) 992-9804

Some one may say it depends how fast they drive and traffic.

It will depend on whether you want it in an enclosed or open trailer. We used an enclosed one from Ohio and the cost was $1,000 and it took four days since they pick up & drop cars along the way. I knew where my car was the whole time. Brokers can't usually tell you how long since they may use several different haulers for your car. We booked direct with one company.

We used Bear Auto Transport (847-810-7641) for our 1934 Ford in an enclosed trailer and they were great. We got a quote quickly and the arrangements fit with our plans perfectly. The driver was very personable, careful and on time...ask for Liz...we would definitely use them again!

We used Home - Dependable Auto Move (https://dependableautomove.com/) in July 2021 to move a 20 something Buick to TV from northern VA, not a vintage, treasured car, just something to drive around in. They scheduled a pick up time & provided an estimated delivery time. Called us when they got close & narrowed the time at both locations. Cheerful, polite employees. Their $695.00 quote remained the final price . No problems, no surprises; everything was smooth. Once you start requesting quotes on the Internet, you'll likely get bombarded with offers. Good luck.

We used Montway Transport to ship our Florida vehicle to WI and to ship our WI vehicle to Florida. We were very pleased with the experience. They also were a better price than another company we checked. Good luck.

Three years ago we used James Giannini – Auto Transport - (847) 331-2904 - $975. We shipped from California to The Villages but I think he works all over the country. Costs have gone up but shipping to the mid west will cost less. Mention our name, it may help. Craig & Lynn Littler
