Hello!
Are there any good places within TV to get fried green tomatoes?
Doesn’t matter fancy or not, but we really want to golf car to it. Thanks!!

The Villages Gourmet Club website says The Chop House offers them.
Just put "Fried Green Tomatoes" in Section 4c of their Search Page LINK (https://thevillagesgourmetclub.com/search.html)
and it comes up with about 40 restaurants that have those tasty southern treats.
Wonderful resource.

I’ve had them at the chop house, i think they are very good there.
I think you get 4 or 6 slices.
I will admit, i just started eating them in the last few years, so i am not an expert.

Fried green tomatoes are like family recipes pasted down gen to gen. My great grandmother grew a special tomato, ( not an unripe tomato) herbs and breadcrumbs from her bread, just for her recipe, fried in bacon grease, from the canister sitting on the stove top.

My granny (seeds from her mom) same herbs, and bread, granddaddy just went out took very firm unripe green tomato and used a cracker base. All fried in bacon grease.

I use the same seeds from my great grandmother, I use all their breading recipes depending on what fresh herbs I have available. Still fry in bacon grease. Not going to find any fried green tomatoes made the way I have eaten since a child.

Have not found any I am in love with in TV, but that may be due to fresh herbs, and Bacon grease :D

OP asked where to get them... I've had them at Turner's in Leesburg, and they were good.
