Have you thanked your 911 Operator or Dispatcher? This week is National Telecommunicator’s Week and it’s time to show your appreciation.
911 & Dispatch are two of the most thankless jobs going. They rarely get recognized for the good they do, yet without them you’d have no one to call when you need help, see an accident or even have an alligator at your door… no one to dispatch an officer or fire/rescue to your location… no one to stay on the line with you if you’re super scared of something or to direct you in proper procedure to perform CPR until help arrives…
If you get a chance, please take one moment and remember these people… They are doing their best to protect and assist you every day.
Here’s TV’s Public Safety 911 pamphlet & it’s filled with great information and reminders.
