Maybe Brown's on 301 near the betting parlor ? Not sure, they might just have the same stuff as the grocery stores and the "farmers" (?) markets in Brownwood and Lady Lake.
I have seen "pop up" ones from time to time (on the back of a pickup) with melons when in season, peaches, oranges, corn, depending on the season. The ones I've noticed were at 466 at Rolling Acres road.

That location has had lots of car accidents.
Go to Brownwood on Saturday morning and see what they have for sale. One guy sells very good pot pies.

There are 3 or 4 farms represented at the Brownwood farmers market every Saturday.
They offer lots of fresh fruits and veggies.

The one at 466 by Rolling Acres Rd. sells junk for too much money. You'll get much better at Publix.

The layout of this part of the state isn't really conducive to roadside farm stands. Most roadside stands in my old state of Connecticut were on secondary roads that connected areas of commerce or residential neighborhoods with each other, with farms in between.
Around here, once you leave the main drag, you're on a secondary or tertiary road that stretches for many miles before you see anything else. Everything in the middle is farms, usually horse farms, citrus groves, or just ranches with family-owned horses on them. There's really no reason for anyone to travel that far away from the main roads, unless they live there or are visiting friends/family who live there.
It'd basically be similar to going all the way to Jacksonville to buy that one brand of paper you like best from their Jimbob's Office Supply House, because the local Staples doesn't carry it.

Apparently S.S. was not worth it any more to the vendors (?), but, the Lady Lake one IS GROWING. Of course down side is you have to go in auto. I would guess if it was still profitable, the S.S. market would have continued ? ? I really don't know the stats, but, are there really more people/homes to buy produce, honey, etc. near Brownwood than S.S. ?

Most years in melon season, very nice family sells their melons at that location from their truck. I've found them very good, much better (in my opinion) than California melons. Don't live close enough to see, but have to pass there once or twice a day. Haven't seen any accidents but probably have been, most intersection have had accidents at one time or another.

Wow, I didn't know that - and equally awesome is that my periodontist's office is in the building just south of the soccer field. I could park my golf cart at the little front lot at the market on Rolling Acres, and walk around the corner and up a block to get to the periodontist.

It’s a beautiful golf cart ride from the historic section. After going through the Del Mar gate you can drive through Chula Vista then take the tunnel under Rio Grand and go through Mira Mesa and come out right onto Palermo Place. There is also good bass fishing in the pond you will come out right in front of on Palermo Place. It’s one of our go to bike riding routs after getting an ice cream at Kilwins in SS. You can also park your cart at the driving range.

Brown's has some tasty farm fresh produce that we've enjoyed. So we're planning to stop there periodically. They also have some frozen meals prepared by a local cook; eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana for example. We tried the eggplant dish and we'd buy it again. It's nice to have something in the freezer for occasional use.

There is the one at Sawgrass. Also check out the farmers market in Brownwood and get the addresses of some of the vendors selling veggies etc.

Kevin’s Produce on west 466, out past the “tiny house” development. Very good variety, most of it from South Florida.

Kevin’s Produce 466 in Oxford. Fabulous people. Always local. Take a left at the WaWa off 301. Go about a mile. Find them on Facebook. Usually open Wednesday or Thursday thru Sunday.

Seems like another thing of the past. Closest thing you inquired about is the U Pick Farms and they are more expensive than places like ALDI. Berries are fresh and you can get a FREE sample

Assume, and hate to use that word, that you are referring to the one in Lady Lake on US 27. Have been there. Most sell produce that was not bought by major retail stores and is starting to show signs of getting old.

North Haven has an awesome one on Hartford Tpke on the way to Hamden - Frankie's. All organic farm behind (and beside) the stand, he has the best peaches in the world.
There are several in the Guilford and Middletown/Durham area as well.

Us Connecticut folks understand SO well about the "farm stand" situation. Our entire state is smaller than Central Florida but we have more farm stands per square mile than Central Florida does.
You can drive fewer than 5 miles away from any major city, and run into a farm stand. And a secondary city or town green will be within 5 miles of that farm stand on the other side of the route.

LOL Bragging? Why do you think New Jersey is nicknamed The Garden State? I don't recall reading of or hearing from folks remarking about their Connecticut corn or Connecticut tomatoes! lol

No shortage of them. Brownwood farmers market. Similar, in fact some of the same people, Marion flea market. The villages is running huge green houses. Quality produce is a matter of knowing what is good. Strangely fruit is the best when it is the cheapest. Everything has a season and that is when it is cheapest and the best.

Lived for a few years in West Suffield, CT. It is truly a farming town, specializing in tree and sod farms. Their premium bumper crop is tobacco. The leaves of their tobacco plants are used throughout the world to roll the finest cigars, including Cubans.
