I'm going to miss it. Yes I still get Netflix DVDs delivered by the USPS. It's nice reaching into my mailbox and pulling out something other than bills or ads. Ok, I've been down to one DVD for quite a while. Not long ago, all good movies eventually went to DVD, even ones made-for-tv . Not so today. But this was inevitable—doesn't make sense using snail mail for something that you could get in less that a second.

I wonder if Blockbuster is coming back?

Bummer, we still get Netflix DVD’s in the mail because we don’t subscribe to high speed internet at our Villages home. We very much enjoy getting a flick in the mail for our once a week movie night. Movies used to turn around in a couple days, but this winter we noticed it now takes a week or longer between retuning a movie and getting the next one in the queue delivered. We have had “ A man called Otto” on top of our queue list for well over a month and keep getting other movies. I guess it was only a matter of time before they put the full court press on phasing out the service. At least we have a very extensive library of movies on DVD that we have purchased over the years for about 50 cents each at estate sales.

If you like DVDs, have you tried Redbox?

This is kind of like when John and Charlotte the managers at the Lady Lake Blockbuster had mentioned that they were closing. I had to switch to Netflix and Redbox. If Redbox was even around then. Not sure when this happened.

I recall one of the workers at Blockbuster had mentioned that she had been at Woodstock and had seen various musicians there.
