You state "redo" your garage floor, most if not all quality companies will require the old finish to be completely removed, by grinding or sandblasting. I would not trust any company that does not require this. You will probably need to contact companies directly regarding this but we used Driveways by Jay through Hometown services for this type of work. He contracted with another vendor to do the grinding, so we have a suitable surface for the new concrete stain (paint). This basically doubled the cost of the project, but was well worth it.
Now a word of caution, if the surface is cleaned using grinding, it will be very smooth, and depending on the final coating could be VERY slippery when wet. I strongly suggest the use of shark grip or similar anti-skid additive on the final coating of the surface.
