Yep ! As an aside, thought Lemon's last one about a woman politician being "past her prime" would have been the final straw of self destruction for him, actually, maybe it was, but they just waited a couple weeks so it was not so obvious ? Of course coming from a woman's perspective, I about fainted (was watching when he said it), with the ages of many of the prominent male politicians of BOTH parties, I was amazed that he would even consider saying that ... but then I came back to reality... this is DON LEMON

I really liked Tucker, Muckraker that he is. He was the only one I got interested in watching on the Fox network. Conspiracy theorist me, but I think it was not just the law suit over the voting machine manufacturer, he also vowed to continue on for as long as it took to get all the information into the public light on the Ray Epps story relating to January 6, and also continued to try to discover why the so called "manifestos" of all of these mass killers are released, but not that of killer of the children in the parochial school, which of course breeds more speculation: could it contain information that the killer was on drugs at a time the push is to get them all legalized, or, could it possibly reflect badly on all trans gender people because this one was a mass killer, or.......or.... or. When I lived and worked in Illinois for a time, there was a local newspaper reporter much like Tucker, tenacious, not willing to just let go of a story when given a vague, or unlikely, explanation. People used to worry that because he cracked to the truth in so many "coverups", one day he's be found floating in the river. Democrat or Republican, rich or poor, city or state employee, he always got "the rest of the story". I liked that tenaciousness about Tucker Carlson. Back when he worked for CNN, and CNN was in every airport waiting lounge, he got my attention as someone with a great presentation, voice, animation, who would have a good career in media.

Hummm, good question, sick but true, probably at least 75% of the audience watching will be watching very closely now ! Apart for the cheap jokes, etc. isn't it sad that so many in the industry have so little self-esteem, moral fiber, belief in SOMETHING ? Just ratings, ratings, ratings. For some reason I can never get out of my mind the night we were watching Fox news, our adult children were living in St. Louis at the time, and we were following the story of the young St. Louis boy kidnapped and held hostage for several years by a pizza delivery man. Groomed, brainwashed that his parents were happy he vanished, given every kind of video game by his captor, was able to eat all the candy he wanted, just what a per-adolescent would think was great. When he finally escaped and was back with his parents, Bill O'Riley carried on and on about how the boy "probably" could have escaped years earlier, but he LIKED being a sex slave to this pervert because in return he got everything a pre-teen dreams of, stay up as late as you want, don't have to go to school, etc. Could never watch him on Fox after that, hubby used to enjoy his program, but that was "it" for us. Anyone in the media, who had no idea what Stockholm syndrome is, was just not someone we ever wanted to watch again. However, this kind of thing is definitely not limited to the Fox network, not at all !

Tucker Carlson leaves Fox News - BBC News (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-65379340)
The lead story on the front page of today’s Daily Mail in the UK claims that Tucker Carlson was offered a job by the Kremlin-controlled television company RT (Russia Today) shortly after Fox News dismissed him. I don’t consider that proven, but that’s the story. I can understand why they would like his attitude. By the way, a friend of mine was in a restaurant recently in The Villages where RT news was on the television. I heard her explain the problem to the new owner of the restaurant, who said that would not be happening again. RT presents Russian propaganda, often trying in subtle ways to make us despair of finding happiness in our country. As for me, I’m happy to be an American, and I don’t need RT to make me unhappy.

The Daily Mail is practically on the same level as RT and Fox regarding agendas.
Mind you, I buy the paper on a Friday for my favorite journalists reports, and on a Saturday, because the DM. has the best weekly tv. program guide.
Apart from those exclusions, I would not waste my money on it.

Tucker always reminded me of the smart ass little kid in my class who just loved asking stupid questions when he really thought he knew the answer. Just trying to get something started, just trying to rile everybody up. That adorable little furrowed brow and those suggestions that he threw out there in such a seemingly naive, endearing way, always trying to make you think that he was really on to something. Such great personality traits in a “widely respected” talk show host or snake oil salesman.
Hopeful that those worry lines on his forehead go away now that he’s been relieved of his duties🤣🤣

Do you have hope that if that actually happens at Fox, CNN, MSNBC and the rest of the degenerate "news reporters", meaning "commentators" actually...that the pool of ethical "journalists" is so extensive that all these networks will be able to replace them with ethical people ? Meaning, individuals NOT willing to say anything for "ratings" ? Would it be helpful to shut down ALL media in this country..nooooo ! So what is the answer ? I certainly agree with this post, not focusing on any one of these "media stars" like Carson, Como, Lemon, etc. but puzzling when you read the comments like "thank God", and "it's about time" on any of their firings or departures. I have a few on every network I don't care for AT ALL, but if they leave or are "fired", is of no concern to me. I am able to just not watch them if I chose. I often like to watch those I don't care for personally from time to time ! I don't like to see and hear only what one particular person's, network's, or source's interpretation of an event or story is. My #1 dislike of all is when a politician gives a major speech, or when the "so called debates" are presented, and each network then EXPLAINS TO ME what each speaker said !!! That is the ultimate disingenuous behavior. Fine if a media person wants to come on and say to the audience: "this is what I got from the debates tonight", but no, they invariably say: "This is what YOU need to get from tonight's debate". Shows VERY LITTLE trust in our educational system to think those who complete just the minimum free education of 12 years, can not even process ideas and concepts put forth in a speech ??? That they need an interpreter to tell them what they should discern from a speech or debate ?

Welcome to George Orwell's 1984..we are living in an upside down world. Media has become what we should fear.
Even to understand the word—doublethink—involved the use of doublethink.” Four examples of doublethink used throughout 1984 include the slogans: War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength, and 2 + 2 = 5. Memory hole: a small chute leading to a large incinerator.

I WISH that Fox would become a good conservative reporting platform that did NOT lie and push PROPAGANDA. But, I fear that I am being too naive and hopeful about a return to historic AMERICAN VALUES. For which, we 1st have to recapture a TRUE middle class. Note: to do that requires 1950s-style PROGRESSIVE tax rates.

Ooof my parents watch CNN all day. They don't really pay attention to it, but it's always in the background, volume up. I like CNN just about as much as I like Fox. Which is to say - not at all. I also don't like news "shows" of any kind. They're all designed to push a political agenda, whether right or left. It's pretty disgusting to see it. I'd rather ignore a soccer game at the bar, than ignore a news "commentator" discussing the latest election scandal.
When I want to watch news, I watch the actual news on the networks. Y'know, the "live at 5" news, where they tell you "this happened. That happened. This other thing happened. Here's the weather forecast. Here's a fluff piece about a dog who rescued a 4-year-old boy. See you all tomorrow for more news, live at 5."
Or I'll read a reuters or AP feed. I get my court/bill-voting/congress/senate hearing stuff from CSPAN, which just sets a video stream down in the back of the room and live-streams it without any commentary at all.
I don't like it when paid front-men try to instruct me how to feel about what I'm seeing. It's condescending and implies that you are too stupid to make your own decisions about the topic.
So I avoid watching any of those types of "reports," no matter where they come from.
