View Full Version : Al Qaeda hopes to surgically implant bombs

I mentioned this scenario in a previous thread and saw this article in The New York Daily News, which is hardly a conservative mouthpiece.

I thought it might add some validity to this idea I submitted in regard to the dog and pony show being carried out by airport security who are looking for weapons and not for terrorists.

How are they going to find these weapons?

Think it's time to start intelligent profiling yet?

Personally, I thought it was time for profiling long before 9/11. Not profiling by skin color or ethnic background but by behavior. We don't train our people to look for physical and psychological signs. So, maybe the thing would be to educate the populance to look out for signs and have them point them out to the authorities. I don't know, but I do agree something other than these outrageous searches needs to occur and needs to occur sooner than later.

BTW -- I'm surprised that surgically implanted devices weren't used many, many years ago. I always wondered if the impediment was that it would give a suicide bomber too long to consider his/her imminent demise and, thus, cause a surrender rather than an explosion. I think there must be something comforting in thinking that you could change your mind and remove a device for whatever reason, thus giving you a choice. Having a bomb implanted gives you no choice.

The other thing that is truly needed is that the people of the Middle East be educated. Too many are illiterate. They are taught a very bastardized, oral version of the Koran. If these people could be educated to better methods of surviving, of actually knowing what is written, of learning there is more to the world, there would be a lot less hate and envy.

Went to the New York Daily News link provided by Richie about the Frankenbombers as they are referred in the article. Also happend to note on the page a couple of Best of NYDN.com headings: Sexy Spies and Hollywood's Hottest Jews. Hardly conservative is an understatement.

red, I've read many of your posts and you seem to be very caring and intelligent human being. You know there is a but here... please do not tell people that Muslims are being taught a very bastardized oral version of the Koran. Most everything that is going on unfortunately is in the Koran. The radicalism is not radicalism. Read the Koran read the hadith. Find out what Islam is. I assure you based on what you've said you would be very very surprised. They're cheap at the bookstore. Under five bucks I think. You can get it at the library. But by all means please read it. Know who it is who considers you an infidel and enemy.

Just some thoughts.

I thought it was a really smart business move when the admins here started a separate political forum over a year ago.

When the admins did that, TOTVers could choose whether they wanted to be inundated with political controversy every time they tuned in.

I remember when the opening page had so many political thread starts that it looked like a leaflet drop.

Well, we're not there yet, but I gotta tellya...it's starting to look like "deja vu all over again."

What's do politics have to do with this?

Yoda, I have read the Koran -- three times. The Bible 8 times. The Hadith, however, I have not read and it is on my list. Heck, I've even read the Satanic Bible (what a bunch a drivel that was). I'm the curious sort and read everything I can.

The Koran does not preach murder of innocents, whether infidel or not. In fact, it is the exact opposite. What people are being taught is a bastardized version. It is easy to twist words into whatever you want and the Imans do exactly that. The people can't read the word themselves and, of course, cannot believe that a man of God would speak anything but the truth. Hopefully, one day, they will be taught of the beauty and love in the Koran. As yet, they are only taught the ugliness and hatred (which can be found in pretty much any book -- go read some older versions of the Bible [the Crusades were easily justified by the writings of that time].

As to this being political, it probably is, but at least it's interesting and, as yet, has not resorted to name calling.

Wish that it were true Redwitch, that the Koran is being bastardized by extremists int the religion, but it's not.

Islamist Imans in resolving disputes within the writings of the Koran always give the nod to the later verses as abrogating the earlier writing. Virtually all so called "peaceful verses" are early verses in the Koran and are overruled by the call for violent retribution and conversion of the infidel.

In Islam, the latter verses abrogate the former, by their own law.

The problem being that RichieLion wasn't around then and I would imagine could care less.

He can't get the "party faithful" to even chime in on his TSA topics in the Political Forum. He posted a new thread several days ago: TSA Employees Can Buy Insurance For Misconduct and never even got a nibble. Then the NON-Political part of TOTV got his three TSA threads in a row followed by this particular thread.

Boomer, your insight is spot on!

or killed deemed political by some magical criteria. Why is there no inuendo to all the other suicides, homicides, round-a-bout crashes, shootings (accident or otherwise), etc frequently discussed in this forum as well as the General Discussion? There isn't and I do not believe this thread was submitted as a political subject.

I may be risking reprimand, but as a political forum frequent participant, I would state that far too many posts in non political threads are off the mark in their negative casting of political...i.e. uninteresting (only non-political = interesting?). Name calling....like everything else, because of a few, mostly long departed, the majority who participate do not deserve to be cast in the negative any more than any other social group...the facts be recognized!

I personally do not see the back and forth and disagreements and differing opinions in the political forum to be no more serious than 99% of the dialogue that transpires between spouses!!!!!

first of all let me say that you need a new version of the Koran. Although it may see the opposite and some very good things you must read on further where it will say something different that's not so good. The rules regarding the Koran say that the later passage is the one to be followed.

Second infidels are not innocents according to Islam.

Third according to Islam in order to understand the Koran you must be able to read it in early Arabic.

Finally may recommend a book. That is if you want a good understanding. The book is the politically incorrect guide to Islam and the Crusades by Robert Spencer.

First of all, I'm glad you're paying attention and reading my threads. I, personally, until this unsolicited attack on me, had never heard of you.

I've been a member here for a while now, and was before the political column got too hot for your sensitive eyes to read. I'll post wherever I like, if you don't mind, and not just in political, even though I have a great interest in the topic of politics.

I don't concern myself with non-comment on threads as it is the number of reads that are more indicative of interest. Some people post and say nothing of note, as you are well aware of and a prime offender, I now realize.

It pleases me now, though, that you have been sitting at your computer fuming at something I've written. I only wish you were man enough to engage in a discussion of ideas instead of taking this childish shot at me.
I don't know you and you don't know me and out of the blue you attack me. Very pitiful conduct.
