Hey folks,
I would like to start making Kefir, and am wondering if anyone here in TV does that, and could sell me a starter culture of milk Kefir grains?
Also, I'm curious if anyone in or around TV sells raw milk, or if that's not allowed in this state?
Appreciate any and all responses.
Cheers,
Jeff

Hi Jeff:
We can share some grains with you and explain how to keep things going.
After trying many different milks, we feel the organic whole milk at Winn-Dixie is the best.

Awhile back I got starter from Trader Joe’s, not sure if they still have it. Raw milk is harder to come by. If I drink milk, raw (bonus because of family dairy farm) is all I have drank since a child. Farmers I have dealt with require vast background info befor they will sell to you. Have not tried in TV, but is on my list.

I use kefir milk and oat milk mostly for my Cheerios and shakes but I’m never going to use raw milk in anything

That would be outstanding. I'm happy to pay for the starter culture, to offset any inconvenience. And I'll meet you wherever you feel comfortable, to get them. I will need to get myself some larger mason jars. If you've seen those for sale around here, please let me know where you saw them.
Thanks again for helping me out.
Cheers,
Jeff
