I wonder if this is what is going to happen to the Old Mill Playhouse? More pickleball courts?

On a side note: I see a lot of people voicing unhappiness- even outrage that the movie theaters are closing. The use of retail space is based solely on if it is generating revenue in its current incarnation. In order for a movie theater to keep operating as a movie theater a large number of people must fill the seats for nearly every movie shown. If not, the owner will investigate other options to generate revenue. it isn't greed, as many have accused, but rather a decision that all owners of retail space must consider if the business is no longer successful. People's reasons for complaining about the closings are frequently nostalgia, but in the real world nostalgia doesn't put groceries on the table of the theater's owners.
