Can anyone post the streets with best Christmas light displays in TV? Also is there a place nearby that has "drive thru" Christmas lights on display?

Thanks, Wendy

don't know the name of the street but saw a fantatic display last year in calumet grove, north off buena vista. go down a few streets on the right and you will probably see a line of cars going there...plan to get out of your car and watch and listen for a few wonderful minutes... many surrounding homes also very nicely decorated....

I think that last year there was a list of homes with special lighting that appeared in the Daily Sun..
Also, there is a spectacular display at the Cottone farm east on Marion county road. Take CR25 north from 441/27 and turn right on Marion county road and go about 3-5 miles. There are hay rides to see the lights but they can also be seen from the road.

Go to the historic side and check out the lights at a house on Hillcrest. He has been doing them for years. Really spectacular.

You can also get to CR 25 from Griffin Ave @ 441/27 (the light at Perkins Restaurant). Take Griffin East and make a left on CR 25.

I'll again endorse Cottom Farm as a special place to view Christmas lighting. On Marion County Road a few miles east of the Florida Carriage Museum.

Within TV, I've seen many really spectacular displays over my five previous Christmases here. The historic side has several "legendary" shows, and many places in the Chatham neighborhood are good, too!

Of course, my own very, very modest lights are The Best! :bowdown:

And don't forget to check out Gaucho Way and Bando Lane off of Enrique in El Santiago (almost across from the Santiago Rec Center). Then, if you continue towards SS on Enrique and cross Cazaras, you'll find another street further down towards the left. Sorry don't know the name of the street or exact directions -- I just manage to find it every year by accident.

The Sun is asking homes that are well decorate to send them their addresss, so I imagine the paper will have a list shortly.

Check with your local recreation centers for Christmas light golf cart drives. I just signed up at Laurel Manor. Another freebie that is fun.

We came up Southern Trace from the shopping center to Buena Vista tonight. There were several homes pretty well lit up. There was one street that looked like everyone had gotten together and put up a tree out near the street as far as we could see down it.

A "must see" - Dunkirk Trail, just a block off Odell.

400 Block of Hengan Place. One home in particular went above and beyond and worth seeing.

Odell -> Stillwater -> Bishopville -> Hengan
