She also when touring Nasa some years ago, asked if the Mars rover took any pictures of the flag Neil Armstrong planted on the moon.

I waiting for the media to start mocking and trashing her for her ignorance, as they trashed GW when he mispronounced a word, or Sarah Palin when Katy asked her what she reads and Sarah stumbled in her answer.

This raft of ignorance about world affairs is so much more egregious than either of the above examples that I'm sure they'll be numerous political cartoons portraying her as some sort of jackass (fitting for a Dem), and talking heads on TV guffawing as they try to give some analysis to this stupidity.

How long do you think I'll have to wait?

Richie, I have found it hard to agree with you politically on just about anything. However, you hit the nail right on the head with your post.

I did not see the date of those remarks but I am assuming it was recent - and not when there was a North and South Vietnam. That Representative should be expelled from Congress immediately for her stupidity. Why not give candidates a basic civics exam which includes world geography, current events, US and world history, and government? Pass the test and you can be on the ballot. That would weed out quite a few nut-cases from all parties.

Unbelievable stupidity and ingnorance.. It's quite clear that this is not just a slip of the tongue as she makes all those "side by side" references...

I often wonder if other countries have idiots like this representing them also.
You would think it would be mandatory to have some idea of geography and world history.

one like them to represent them. Why or how else could she and the unfortunate too many others like her get elected?? Re-elected??

Let us not even broach the controversial qualifier of "qualified" or not.

According to the reports, these remarks come from around the middle of July 2010.

Unreal.

That's what I figured. It's been months and no news program thought this even deserved a 30 second spot.

I think I know why her remarks are ignored, but it's politically incorrect for me to say; wouldn't be tolerated on this blog, and is undoubtedly why it was not reported.

:agree:

I hate having to be a part of the "silent majority". :sigh:

The real question is whether or not that video will play in her next opponent's campaign
