My sister and I are scheduled for our first Lifestyle Preview visit in January and are eager to see first hand all that TV has to offer. From reading TOTV I think it may be quite crowded in January! If we enjoy this visit (and I have no doubt we will), we may try to rent for a week or two in June just to get an idea of what it's like when it's not so crowded. Can't wait to leave NJ permanently, TOO EXPENSIVE and TOO COLD!

When you all are here, jump in and do lots of things. Everyone is always welcome everywhere. Should be warmer than NJ and don't think we'll have snow. Bring your checkbook so you can buy that house you fall in love with !

Welcome to you. We are looking forward to being back in the bubble then too.
Although it may be a little chilly, the people are warm and friendly and there is plenty to do.

Welcome to TOTV.

I was blown away by my first LSV for a lot of different reasons. There are not enough words to decribe TV and the feeling you get when visiting the first time.

I too can't wait to escape the winters in CT. I would decide what is important for you to do while in TV and familiarize yourself with the map so you can get from point A to point B without wasting time, (some people will say that getting lost allows you to see the beauty of TV even more).

The trolley ride is a good place to start to see TV.

If your an impulse buyer, don't bring your checkbook. LOL

Seriously, that might be a good idea.

Retirement is a couple of years away, but we're planning NOW. My real estate taxes in NJ are over $10K a year - ridiculous! Not to mention I pay over $2K a year for water, and let's not even discuss utility bills. All you previous NJ residents know what I'm talking about. The state is about to go broke. And I cannot take snow like we had last winter. We visit Florida once a year and decided on this trip that TV is definitely worth a visit. We going to Disney first and then spending 4 nights in TV.

Even though we will have the use of a golf car, we'll be renting a car just in case it's too cold for the golf car. Plus we have a limited amount of time to visit and I think the car might help us see more of TV. The trolley sounds like a good idea. Anyone have any more tips for our first visit? Thanks.

I just wanted to add this...When we took the trolly the guide said to get out and meet people "nobody is going to knock on your door and ask if wonderful people live here". She was WRONG -- within hours of closing our great neighbors came a knockin' and yes they and we are wonderful.
