In efforts to support area children, the town of Lady Lake will host “School Supplies for Fines” during the month of July. During the month, library fines and overdue materials will be forgiven in exchange for donations of school supply items. Donations will be accepted at the Lady Lake library at 225 W. Guava St.,

Let’s look at Florida SAT score rankings:
Average SAT score 42nd place
Average Math score 48th place (only oklahoma & west virginia scores worse)
Average Reading/Writing score 41st place
I guess some people are happy with this situation. I am not
Anecdotal evidence: my daughter grew up and finished high school outside the US with English as a second language. After graduation she moved to the US and went to UF Gainesville. She found her first year and a half at UF to be so very easy because she had already studied these things in high school. She graduated magna cum laude in Finance but wishes she had gone to a more challenging school
