My husband and I recently bought a CYV in Pennecamp, and are loving it already. I just retired from teaching in Columbus, Ga., and he is still working as a museum director. We are just going "back and forth" for now until he retires, and we can do that without too much trouble since Columbus is only a few hours away by car. We are down for the week this week, and would love to meet some new friends. Are there any social gatherings in the area this week where "newbies' would be welcome? If so, please give us a shout.

Happy holidays to all!

Welcome to The Villages. The TOTV luncheon is always the third Friday of the month at Crispers at 3:00 in Southern Trace shopping area off of 466. We are meeting this Friday 12/17. Newbies are always welcome to attend.

My wife was a literacy coach at Brewer elementary in the 02/03 school year. Did you know any teachers from Brewer?

Bruce and Carol,
:welcome:

I don't blame you for being excited. We're snowflakes too, go down every chance we get and love it better every time we're there. Can't wait to become frogs.

I wish I were there to welcome you in person and give you a hug. Hope to meet you one of these days! Happy holidays to you too!

I would recommend going to all the orientations available. They will give you a lot of free stuff and coupons. PM us if you would like to get together for dinner this week. We're free all but Tuesday and Wednesday. We'd love to meet you and talk about teaching in Columbus.
