Has anyone installed a screen mural? I am wondering exactly how they are installed. Do they actually take away the screen that is existing? Or do they place a painted screen over the existing screen or behind it?

Also, has anyone had it for over three years? What is the condition of the mural? Do you have a partial privacy screen or a full privacy screen? If you have a full privacy screen, does it block the air? Any regrets? Anything you would’ve done differently? Do you know if this would negate the warranty on the lanai screen?

Which company did you use and what is an average price of the mural? I saw a thread on here that’s about five years old, but didn’t see any of these questions answered or any discussion about how they wore after a few years. Thanks so much in advance for any info and guidance you can give me.

I was wondering the same thing. During my recent trip, I noticed there were a lot of screens on lanais but nobody had as much as a curtain up. What gives?

We just had to replace about half of ours screens due to hurricane IAN, it was interesting that these lasted only 7-8 years. These were all in the roof area, the vertical screens are in a little better condition but will probably be replaced in the next year. My point is the mural will last only as long as the screens and will probably be expensive to replace.
Also, from what i have seen to get matching panels, the installers are either very good or they paint the screen after it is installed, I would ask. I really like the look of these, but one thing i did notice, if you have a nice view to begin with, these may interfere with that view, especially in low light conditions when your birdcage may be lit.

We looked at a house that had a screen with a beach. Owner said it was to block out the very close pool and birdcage next door. He laughed said a wall would have been better to cut down on the noise and choice of loud CW music.

He told us it was dense screen, then a photo was infused into the screen. The view can only be seen on the inside. Rain came through but only as a mist, the colors were vibrant, pictures very crisp. It was 4 years old at the time. The original owner did the install, so unfortunately had no idea the cost,

Driving along Morse from the road and cart paths you can see several who have the view screen. Figure out the house, and stop and ask. People here are usually very happy to give you info on their projects
