It should run $500-$600 depending on difficulty of install.

I got quotes a couple of years ago,
and if I recall correctly they were
all around $1500 or more!
And that was for a 1 car plus golf cart size.

Save your money, My wife took 2 of them out with the golf car and one with the car which I couldn't repair as she ran over it. The trash company will take them.

automatic for a two car garage is $3600 roughtly. Pull down screen on a track $2600 roughly. Chinese screens with magnetic openings, about $60 but look cheap. I would like just a screen to put into place so no rats or bugs crawl in but can't find anything.

Why not get a nice overhead motorized screen door? Safer and easier to use.

If it's a roll-up screen don't get one.
Replacement motors are as much as the unit itself.

I’m curious, what would make it safer?
I like to be able to open one section on a slider to get the paper etc.

I've had the 4-section sliders for about 20 years now. Had them re-screened a few years ago. They still work well if you keep the tracks reasonably clean and occasionally lubed with silicon spray.

Wouldn't want any other type garage screens. These are so easy to use and very effective at keeping out bugs and crawly creatures. Don't recall what I paid for them, but got them from a place in Leesburg on South 14th Street.

Ditto. We’ve had ours 10 years and haven’t had it rescreened yet. We go in and out through the garage numerous times a day and a slider screen is the way to go.

Less of a chance in hitting the screen with a cart, car, etc. Plus it comes with a remote for ease of operation. I had 1 in my last home for 10+ years w/no problem. 1st thing I added to my next home.
Just my opinion.

In my opinion the motorized overhead screen door is the way to go. Remote control from car so there is no getting out of car or golf cart to open manual sliding screens.

Double garage 4 section screen total $900.00 Michelle’s Hideaway Screens. Needs to be power washed once a year because it is white and the rollers are above so tracks are easy to clean and easy to use. Because it is white, I never take it out by mistake, I can see it. Correction, the $900 was the deposit the whole price was closer to $1800 for 2 car garage.

I know people have backed through motorized screen units,
I question that there is a less chance of doing that with them.
Plus it’s a bigger deal if you do!
I simply prefer sliders, since I can go out by sliding one panel
to go out to get paper or work in yard. To each his own.
Even though you like your power screens,
the OP was asking about current slider cost, not opinions on power vs sliders!

Just my opinion.. Except if you use your garage for entry/exit multiple times during the day you have to fully open/close it each time. With the sliders, aside from no motor to wear out from heavy use, when you want to walk outside you only need to open it a few inches/feet (depending on one's circumference :). ).

For those considering one, get the ones that don't have wheels on the bottom track. We got ours from Michelle's Screen about 6 years ago (about $1200 for 2 car garage back then). It hangs and the bottom track is only a guide and normal "stuff" in it doesn't affect it. Never YET had to lube the sliding wheels on top and never YET backed through it!

If you never or rarely ever use your garage to walk outside then a power one might be best, but for constant in/out through the garage during the day a slider is more efficient IMO.

We had our sliders installed by Michelle’s Hideaway Screens two years ago.

We had the power roll-up screen that needed the motor replaced twice and expensive.

I think the main reason I went through two motors was we don't have a service door
to go in and out and every time we needed to go out, up went the power screen.

Before you go this route, consider that the motorized rolling screen saves you from getting out in the rain. Also budget for repairs when you forget to ppen before backing out!

I have the 4 sliding doors, My neighbor has the Electric roller UP and Down screen.
Because the doors are on tracks on the outside of your garage the tracks get clogged with dirt and wheels lock up making for annoyance until I clean or change the rollers.
My neighbors with roll-up screens are much easier to clean and maintain.

Before you decide speak with neighbors that have both.

Here’s a maintenance tip for you,
just wash out the tracks when you
have your garden hose out.
Works like a charm!

We replaced our Courtyard Villa 4 track slider with a Thumper Automatic Door from Cook Aluminum. The slider was a real pain with 1 1/2 garage with car and cart. It has worked perfectly for 2 years now. It took about 6 months to get on their schedule, but worth the wait. We keep one remote in car and one in cart.

Total job with 2 remotes was around $2,200 two years ago.

google "thumper garage screen doors in the villages".

Suggest you look into Thumper's Screen Garage Doors before you make a purchase. They work well, the company is great, and they are much better than the ones that mount outside the door. Thumper's rolls up overhead like your garage door does...uses the same track.

The rollers today are on top of sliding screen doors design like a barn door
so no worry about clogged tracks like to old style.

We love ours

You don’t have to. When you leave with the car/cart you leave the screen door open but you use your remote to close the garage door. The only thing going for the motorized screens is they look good.

My recent quote for Thumpers motorized screen was $3,000. My neighbor paid $2,200 a year ago. In my opinion, not worth that much of a increase. I think these companies are still using covid as a reason to jack up the prices. He actually said his prices have gone up because of covid. Really!!

Yes the price has gone up, as with everything else over the last 2 years. Such a shame our economy has been so screwed up, but to me it is worth the money for ease of operation and the ability to open air my garage.

The sliding 4 part doors on my 2-car garage opening didn't have rollers or wheels. They sat in gliding tracks on the top and bottom.

I'm also interested in a recent price for 4 track sliders and out of 26 posts, only #13 addresses the original question.

Just called Michelle’s for a quote. They’ll be coming out Monday. The prices for each door on my home will be a lousy $2800-3200 depending on the options. I’ve got two 9’ wide doors so that gets expensive fast! They also offer a screen for the front door for about $600.

The motorized 2 car version is around $3600
Lowes or Home Depot have retractable screens for the front door for $200

I believe I paid $900 for the 4 retractable screen doors-but the tracks were existing-I THINK it was $1,200 if the tracks were needed as well. I used 'Thumper's' as well (Like the other poster said-googling Thumper's Retractable Screen Doors' will take you to the website).
I can't imagine having a motorized one-the manual retractable one allows me to get in and out quickly and actually encourages idly meandering around my front yard to chase anoles, or water plants etc. Like it's been said already-you keep the track swept, cleaned and oiled very occasionally and you've got yourself a great product that will last years.
