directions to Orlando airport

I need directions to the Orlando airport. My GPS and google show different routes. Thank you.
P.S. How long does the trip take from Colony Rec. Center?

I make the trip every week. It takes an hour and 15 minutes from Colony. I used to go to Wildwood to get the turnpike. Now go through Leesburg. The Village vans are now mostly using the Leesburg route to the turnpike. There is a shortcut that eliminates most of the lights in Leesburg.

Your GPS and Google probably differ, in that one shows going thru Leesburg and the other shows 301 thru Wildwood to the FL turnpike.

The route going to Hwy. 27 (Leesburg) would save on tolls, however, if you're not familiar with this area, I think Hwy. 301 through Wildwood to the Turnpike would be much easier to navigate and, although a few miles farther, would take the same time, correct?

Actually, the Villages shuttle and the Airport Van now bypass most of Leesburg to reach Hwy. 27 to save on tolls. It's always been dark when we've been aboard so I wouldn't want you to rely on any advice I might pass on in using this route.

I'd probably allow 1 hr. 15 minutes from Colony to the airport...depending on time of day.

I always go Rte. 301 to the turnpike. I find that I can get from my door to the airport gate, i.e., the boarding area, in about two hours. I park in an off-site parking lot, such as Payless, and take the shuttle to the airport.
By the time I get through security and arrive at the gate, it is about two hours.
If you are just driving to the airport to pick someone up, then I think it is
about 1 1/4 hours. From the turnpike, the directions to the airport are well marked.
