And when I put in my zip code, 32163, Hulu plus live tv comes in at $70/month. Youtube TV, which I have, is $73/month. Fubo is $89, XFinity is $96 and Spectrum is $123.

When I started with YTTV it was $45/month and included NESN. Those days are long gone.

You will probably find that HuluLive (HL) and YouTubeTV YTTV) services are the closest you can get to cable service. Each has advantages. This month we switched away from HL due to some performance issues we were seeing (YMMV).

For movies and exclusive series you will want to look at Netflix.

We have found a lot to watch on Peacock.

You can subscribe to Disney+, Max (was HBO), and Showtime a la carte or as addons to either HL or YTTV to consolidate billing.

I have Hulu + live. It's very good with endless shows to watch. The price is $70 plus tax and some fee so I end up with $79.30 per month.

My internet is Quantum fiber's fastest speed at $70 per month.

There are differences that Suppose.tv do not mention that may affect your decision.

Suppose.tv does tell you that A&E is not available on YouTubeTV.

Suppose.tv doesn't tell you about the company policies that might matter to you. For example, it doesn't tell you about bundling and pricing on HuluLive. Different companies may have different policies on pausing or canceling that could affect you. For that information you would have to go to the company itself but at least suppose.tv tells you which companies to look into.

The one thing that suppose.tv doesn't show is exclusive programming and features that might make a difference. For example, Hulu has an extensive library of old television series that YouTube does not have. Hulu has some exclusive series like The Bear that we like to watch. Building the most cost effective package for you that contains all the shows you want to see is a bit more difficult than just using suppose.tv, but at least it's a start.

This is great information, thank you. Just for clarification, are you saying you can subscribe to one streaming service, then cancel and sign up for another on a monthly basis? I just assumed that many streaming services had set terms for how long you must keep them.

Why do all that? I pay 159/yr and get all that and more. no DVR but that can be taken care of for a couple hundred.

HuluLive and YouTubeTV provide local channels just as if you had cable. I believe that we are in the Orlando region so we would get Orlando channels here.

The frustrating thing about streaming is that they just drop shows or switch them to another service where you have to pay. We get used to watching a series and then it becomes unavailable. I think we switched streaming services 3 times to see all the episodes of Midsomer Murders.

Your question raises an interesting issue I get into. We switch between Indiana and Florida, 6 months each. YTTV asks that you declare your "home" location which you can change I believe only twice/year. For ex...I'm in Indiana now and have set my home location here. I can watch the local channels, no problem, I can record them as well. So I can record a Colts game and start watching it shortly after and while the game is still on. Now when we go to Florida in October -- if I switch my "home" location to TV, then I can no longer record a Colts game unless it is nationally televised..... but I can record and watch in session a Bucs game that is televised on Orlando station. Now where it gets tricky--In October we return to our Florida house and I do not change my home location of my YTTV account. Viola (sort of), I can record a Colts game televised in Indiana (IF I've set it up as a favorite to record anytime televised) -- catch is that I cannot watch the recording "in session" but have to wait until the scheduled end of the game. After about 3 months of being out of "home" location, YTTV starts making me declare my status as just travelling in order to start watching PLUS I cannot record a program broadcast from Orlando station if I've previously set it up to record in Indiana. So I max out the time I can watch "out of home location" and finally surrender in Jan-Feb to really being in Florida (YTTV finally catches me.)

Sorry for the long-winded explanation, but it does get tricky to manage with the moving back and forth. Keeps me mentally young I guess. But we do like YTTV.

Streaming is for the birds. You have to subscribe to multiple streaming service to get all the channels and they raise the price quickly just like the Comcast and Spectrum. Streaming is clunky to use and your whole Tv experience is dependent on the internet. Some villagers are using illegal fire sticks to steal the programing which is another problem . We golf with a couple who were using one of these illegal fire sticks and are being sued by programers for 100,000 dollars for using one of these fire sticks . They got caught as part of raids that took place in Polk County and in Kentucky. I guess the same crooks provide the fire sticks nation wide. When they get caught the authority's gain access to end users. ( ( if you google illegal fire stick Polk Count and Kentucky you will see clips of the raids. ) . If you steal from billion dollar corporations that own the channels you are playing with fire. If any individual or business try to sell you one of these fire sticks and tells you they are legal please do not fall for it. If you have an illegal fire stick I would stop using it .

The tip off is you are able to avoid blacks outs and get thousands of dollars worth of channels for 365 dollars a year . A couple we golf with are being sued for 100,000 dollars because they were using a similar service . The programers and sports leagues are billion dollar corporations and are actively cracking down on signal theft. When the company's and individuals that sell the services get raided the authorities gain access to the end users and are actively making examples of them .

If you live in the Villages of Newell, Lake Denham, or Middleton the best option is Centric Fiber. They now also offer TV packages that include local stations. Best of all NO Contracts.
Besides. Spectrum really screwed their customers this week. No longer carry Disney, ESPN, abc. And many other stations.

I am very interested in researching Omnivision. However, I can't seem to find anything about them that relates to television. What am I doing wrong? Could you possibly post a link?

Unfortunately, what you are doing wrong is you are trying to find Omnivision.

The fact that you are having trouble should tell you something. It's easy to find Netflix, Max, Hulu, YouTube, Sling, and a host of others. Legitimate services *want* to be found but Omnivision apparently does not.

Hulu and YouTube will charge $75+/month to give you local channels. Sling doesn't provide local channels because it would make the service too expensive. The NFL Sunday Ticket is a $300 option on top of YouTubeTV and I believe MLB and NHL both have packages they will sell. Omnivision offers your local channels, local channels from other areas, movies, and all sports for only $30/month. How is it possible that they can offer so much for so little when other providers cannot?

The answer is, because Omnivision is pirating (stealing) the broadcasts. It may or may not be illegal to use the service but I wouldn't want to take the chance. Watch this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLgYRW2CtO4) from post #41 for a good explanation.

There are very few people being sued for streaming pirated copyright content even though it is possible. However, with Omnivision the provider of the illegal content is breaking the law and if he gets arrested he has a list of customers that he may be able to use as leverage to reduce his sentence and or fines. Although improbable the people affected will be easier targets for lawsuits than someone who obtained a similar device by more discreet means especially if you are not paying by cash. That is the increased risk you take on for enjoying the extremely user friendly interface and virtually unlimited content.
