Being new here and my wife being a crafter I was wondering about the quality of the upcoming show in Spanish Springs on the November 4 weekend. (talk about run on sentences).
Is it well attended? Do just Villagers attend or do they advertise for it? Etc. If anyone has been a part of this event in the past and has some opinion, I would appreciate hearing about it. Bud

It’s outside, so you will find food items, suitcases, sunglasses, and such. Some craft items like signs, and clothing. Flower and garden.
Well attended in good weather, hot, and rain can slow down crowds dramatically. People who live south usually will not drive to SS, usually attended by local villagers

I was told that people have been on waiting list for several years before getting into as a vendor.

We've lived here full time for many many years, so we've attended many types of "craft shows". I assume you mean the national chain types where vendors come from many states with every imaginable item from furniture, to true art creations, to jewelry, pottery, list just too long, but the types of really large shows where the vendors pull in with large 5th wheel rigs, etc. and stay the weekend, then on to the next show. We also (here in the villages) have craft shows comprised only of those from various villages craft groups. They are usually held in one of the larger regional rec centers, and off a wide range of really "professional" looking arts and craft offerings, pottery, ceramics, hand made jewelry, fabric items, again, too numerous to list all. Then, there are also "vendor" nights on some squares, weekly events, outside vendors, but from surrounding communities, not one the large national craft show "chains" that do the extensive outdoor shows in the south and huge shows in malls in more northern states. And, not a "craft show" but... Florida is famous for "flea markets" with everything from food stalls to simple tables where individuals sell everything from vegetables to luggage to t-shirts and table games like Mexican train dominoes ... we have at least four of those well know "flea markets" close to the Villages. They are typically open F, S. and Sundays.
