Who Owns TOTV

I have been posting on this forum for a few weeks while resting an injured knee. It just occurred to me that I never checked who owns this site.(I blame it on the meds) The only information I can find is TOTV is private, for profit, and the owner(s) are in Florida and New York. Does any one have more information?

I miss when Talk Host used to come to the Crispers' meetings when I believe Talk Host and Tony owned Talk of the Villages. This was back in the 2000s. I joined TOTV in July of 2007 and it had been going for about a year or so.

They would sometimes buy the lunches at Crispers during the 3:00 PM Friday meetings.

Talk Host had spoken at a Villages Computer Club meeting and I was looking for a place to post after Findlaw's boards had kind of dried up as an option.

One of my favorite librarians used to work at one of the public libraries in that area. I had done Field Work for my Masters Degree at the Englewood Public Library in Colorado where she worked. She then moved to Tempe, Mesa, or Scottsdale or somewhere in that area. This was a long time ago though around 1984.

Obviously you can seek out whatever information you want.
But I am curious why it would matter to anyone. Especially since it was (original post) brought up after 380 posts on STRs by someone against STRs. If one was afraid it was someone invested in STRs, you would think somewhere after 200 posts or so, they would have closed it for some arbitrary reason.

That's the location of the web domain registrar. The TOTV owner selectively chose to register with their public information hidden, which is a very common practice for most websites.

That’s just how some things seem to get titled. The link works fine. Even though I suspect the nurse is an employee of the school not the website.

If you want to change what the link looks like just go into your post and edit the part of the url you want to change.

the bottom line here that no one has figured out is that it's sort of a shell game. all the links etc really lead to no information at all like they want it to. you won't find it, because WHOIS is a nothing and none of the people that live in TV with the exception of a small few know how to track them down, which is frankly not even worth your time.

The ones that I know are usually best at hiding themselves under layers of privacy are retired cops. Career survival techniques - Not good to spend a career chasing the mob or Mexican Mafia and then advertise who you are and where you live. Kinda like using PO Boxes, middle names, in-laws maiden names, etc.

Just wondering if the developer has quietly purchased TOTV as part of the ongoing effort to keep tight control of the Villages narrative, as evidenced by The Daily Sun and WVLG. The cost would be chump change for them, and that would explain why the threads discussing how Oren Miller got totally railroaded suddenly disappeared. In the past, threads only disappeared if they ventured into national politics, not local news that was relevant to Villagers?

Not a chance. There are plenty of negative posts about TV on this site.

I rarely post negatives, yet I am the recipient of multiple "vacations"...

Which makes advertising on ToTV and "recommendations" worthless.

I think negative comments are the most important. But they need to be put into perspective. When you remove them, the other comments have no meaning. They could be coming from the business employees or relatives or paid for etc. I follow certain individuals who are ordinary residents of TV at TOTV and give their words credibility. The rest is the same as a cat meowing.
