We need stairs to our garage attic. Want a set with hand rails like Magic Stairs. MS seems a bit pricey. Searched but can’t seem to find other companies that make stairs with hand rails. Surely there must be some. Has anyone found / installed an alternative? (Do not need to be motorize. Pull down is OK)

The other possible alternative is VersaLift, which you could use to get the stuff up to the attic, and you would not be carrying anything up (or down) the pull-down ladder access.

Go with Magic Stairs. After using them a few times the price sting numbs.

Another happy vote for Majic Stairs. It was one of the first upgrades we did. It's preventative medicine .......for the safety of climbing up and down since we're not getting any younger. Anyway, the people were great to work with and the installation went smoothly.

What business does a Retiree have in the attic?
Unless your tending to those out of control pot plants growing toward the new skylights

It’s called storage.

We also bit the bullet and went with Majic Stairs. So much safer than the standard aluminum ladder.

Just what would you place in an oven that splits and cracks most things in a single summer? We have it all and believe me it just doesn’t matter. Placing thing in the oven, ask yourself how much those items cost to replace. Yes there may be some space (how big is it anyway), but is it worth thousands only to be destroyed by heat anyway? We just have pull down steps, it’s sufficient for us.

I agree, Glass will take on a new shape in a Florida attic … at our age, nothing should be stored…
