Good morning. New to TV and spa ownership. The controller unit/display in the spa in my lanai is damaged. Still works, but not properly, and I would like to obtain estimates for replacement. Any recommendations for vendors that handle this type of work?
Thanks in advance.

I would suggest that you check with Amazon to see if you can buy the exact same replacement controller. This will also give you an estimate of what a new controller should cost. You may be able to buy the controller online and have a plumber install it. I would expect a local spa vendor to apply a substantial markup to both materials and labor.

I agree with previous comment, look for a replacement, amazon, ebay, etc., if it is like ours, this will just plug in. Ours has two pieces, the control panel that you can see and operate when you are in the spa, and the actual electronic module located inside the spa housing. If you are lucky, the problem is with the unit located on the outside of the spa housing this typically has no or only low voltage wiring and should be very easy to change out. The unit inside the spa housing will have the 240 volt service, as well as all of the pump connections, lots of wiring. Ours are color coded and plug in but even with this I could easily see a couple of hours disconnecting everything and reconnecting everything and testing the result.

I’d recommend SpaKingdom if you’re a little nervous about doing the swap. But check Amazon to purchase and either google “how to” or see if there’s something on You Tube with a step by step instruction. It might be an easy plug and swap.
It’ll cost you $70+ just to get someone to look at the issue and then more to order and have it installed.

I would call Tri County Pool and Spa. They worked on mine and they were reasonably
priced

I second TriCounty Pool and Spa. I needed a part for my pool back in June. Amazon was about 30% more expensive for the part than what TriCounty quoted me. Florida Pools & Spas | Tricounty Pool and Spa in Central, FL (https://www.tricountypoolspa.com/)

When it comes to our Spa, it's going to be pricey, it's our SPA , LOL. I just give Kingdom Spa a call and let professionals handle the job. While their I always suggest that they do whatever service maintenance might be useful.

They have serviced our spa pool for over 5 years. Excellent customer service and dependability.

If you can plug in a lamp, you can replace the controller yourself. Mine needed replacement and I went online to the manufacture and found the unit for about $125. SPA Kingdom, who probably can get the unit cheaper, wanted $650 to come and replace it. I watched two you tube videos and did it myself. It took about an hour.

There's probably several fuses located on the main circuit board. One or more may be blown. This is an easier route to check prior to buying a new circuit board.

I would recommend Shawn at Trident Pool Solutions, who can be reached at 352-566-1585. He replaced my pool filter and I found the family owned firm to be honest, cost competitive, and thorough.

Do a google search for your spa manufacturer with your zip code. For example: “Sundance hot tubs near 32163”
You could go out to your tub manufacturers website and search for the closest store/support center. I can point you to a bull frog spa place but since they probably don’t have parts for your hot tub, it would be a waste of time getting a recommendation for a place that doesn’t work or carry parts for your tub.
You could go to Amazon but you better be certain that you know exactly which part is broke, because most of the time electrical pieces aren’t returnable. You might think something is broke but it could be another part that’s broken but the problems is presenting itself somewhere else.

Thanks for the info. Fortunately, it is still working ok, so I have time to futz around with it before calling in the pros.
