Has anyone else had their car ins go up that high without having any accidents or tickets?? If so have you found another agent of company yet?

Lots of people. Insurance companies punish loyalty. I switched from Allstate to State Farm after 27 years and got a premium that was half the cost of Allstate. Shop around and find a better deal.

Did you have a milestone birthday?
Did you move to a new zip code?
Does your insurance company think you are a loyal customer and unlikely to move?
Insurance rates are set by those factors as well as your accident record.

I did and when I spoke to Hartford they said expect this all over FL. Claims, law suit and insurance companies pulling out of FL.

Mine neither. We must have ticked off the moderator at one point. Have you ever been in TOTV jail? That will definitely get your daily email cancelled. I haven't but apparently I committed a minor offense.

Nope. I've ticked off more than one Moderator and I'm also a ToTV Jail Recidivist, yet I still get my daily emails...

Do you get online code to change car insurance or do you actually talk to an agent via telephone for quotes?

You might want to check your SPAM file on a daily basis. An email provider often considers mass mailings as SPAM and will remove it. If it's there mark it as approved or friendly and that should take care of the problem.
If that doesn't pan out, then I don't know what to tell you.

I had not used an insurance agent in years, but recently scheduled an appointment with The Villages Insurance to get some quotes. I found out I was already getting a better than average deal on homeowners insurance, but was able to save about 30% on my auto & umbrella policies by switching to another major insurer & still have the same coverage. The agent found me a way better deal than I was able to find by myself through the online sites.

Mine has not gone up. I use a broker Insurance Services of Central Florida… Insurance Services of Central Florida | Insurance Ocoee FL | Auto Home Commercial Insurance (https://www.iscf.biz/florida-insurance), ask for Sarah. She runs the office. I use SafeCo for my car and golf cart insurance.
She says home owners insurance is going up due to excessive litigation in Florida and we need tort reform, not sure about auto insurance. Maybe you have a bundle and the home is taking the auto up with it.

The personal injury law firms should be throttled. People see "Free Money" and we all pay for those million dollar lawsuits.

We are paying for all the accidents paid out in this no fault state of Fl. I have Geico and when I called them that's the explanation I got. Bad drivers, uninsured drivers, etc. I have a 2014 Mustang, 2021 Lexus 250, and I pay $969 every 6 months which will be going up. I'm mid 70's no accidents or tickets for over 30 years.

They raised rates cause they can. When you HAVE to have it with no regulations on price the can do what they want. Luckily they’re not organized like OPEC yet.

When I don’t receive a daily digest I usually find it in junk mail. I highly doubt moderators can control your daily digest email.

One thousand a year for each car is a reasonable price.

Yes. I was told this was due to the vehicle losses in last year’s hurricanes.

It's only going to get worse. Look at what these companies are paying out for riots, hurricanes, floods, fire and especially all those crazy lawsuits and the rising crime rate.

USAA, remains near the same rate for Home, Auto and umbrella on homes and Golf Cart. Rate depends on if I purchase another car.

My insurance agent told me that once you hit 80 (age not speed) expect your insurance to increase annually. Evidently, you become more of a risk and the insurance company would prefer that you surrender your license.

Sorry to hear that but I’m afraid it’ll go higher only because automobiles will keep getting more expensive, one reason I’m against EV’s, EV’s cost on an average of $40,000 more that Mustang & that Lexus you have the same thing in a EV just add $40,000 to it, my point is the more expensive the auto’s go the more Ins. & repairs you’ll pay, brace yourself because that house you own is going to cost to more in insurance too! More of a reason to vote for another party, it’s your money!

Naturally, after the milked them for 60 plus years. Prudential life in late 80s or early 90s realized they was going to have pay out big bucks with whole life policies rhey wrote. So they devised schemes to offer cash paid out which decreased or eliminated whole life payout. It worked when you flash some cash working class can;t resist it.
They had government law suit against them, but they still came out ahead IMO. Insurance is about reducing financial liability while milking there customers. Once you reach thrust hold your liability IMO. They raise rate so high you go somewhere else. Then process starts all over.

In my home state the insurance companies would have to show the state proof and financials to raise their rates. So they were heavily regulated.
I would imagine the influx of migrants flooding the country would contribute to this as they are not eligible for a license or insurance in Florida so they drive with no license or insurance, that is a formula for disaster.

We are with Hartford too and ours went up $450, no tickets or accidents. Shopped around and found same coverage for less than what we were paying before increase.

My insurance with Geico doubled with no accidents or claims of any kind. They had no explanation for the increase, so I went to AAA and they insured me for the same rate as the original Geico rate. Anyone who has any feelings of loyalty to an insurance company is crazy. They don't give a whit about you.

So, think that make difference? I highly doubt undocumented migrant going to to get insurance even if they are eligible. Maybe for month then cancel after they get plates. They only get fines if caught. And if accident most will skip state.

Same with us. It was about 7 or 8 years ago. We went to State Farm and it decreased by a little bit more than 50%.
It's worth checking around every couple years, especially if there is a big increase.

Had home/car/cart/umbrella bundled with Progressive for several years. This year, at age 79, they doubled home and car. I think that gouging existing customers is their usual practice. Changed to State Farm for home and Travelers for car. Net increase was 50% instead of 100%. Fingers crossed for next year.

Just received our invoice from Progressive. We have our home and cart with them as well. No accidents, tickets, but did just turn 65. 2017 Lexus with low miles. 50% increase, and that's with paying the annual all up front. Spread it out and it's an additional 30%. Shopping around, but not expecting to find anyone less expensive. Have done this shopping every year for the last 4 since we arrived.

Yes I’m sure the process will start all over again! I was with Progressive Ins. ( Prudential) they raised their rates so I found Mercury Ins. & I can just about bet you my Ins. rates will go up again when it’s due again & like you said the process will start all over again & I’ll be darn if I’m going to play their little cat & mouse game, I’ll be shopping again. I’ll bet you Mercury won’t getting me as a govt. fool, or my money!

They can have the car towed if they don't have insurance and need to show proof of insurance to get the car back.
Also, after the second driving without license arrest it becomes a habitual offender felony.
Although the point was having a car crash with someone who has no insurance and you don't have the extra insurance is going to contribute to higher car insurance for everyone.

Of course the moderator can prevent someone from receiving a daily courtesy email. Look at your vBulletin user guide under user infraction manager.
And we all know how to check our trash can.
Until the moderator tells us something different, (r u there?) turning off someone's daily email is one way to tell us we're not wanted.
