In Oklahoma I had screech owls nesting in my woodpecker boxes.

Pretty sure that's a Barn Owl. I've never heard of a Barred Owl.

Pretty sure that's a Barn Owl. I've never heard of a Barred Owl.

It is a Barred owl. Barn Owls have white faces, totally different.

Look it up. Barred Owl is correct.

We use to cal them the eight hoot owls, but yes they are barred owls.
