Happened upon this 1936 film last night on TV. It was about 19min in already. Bottom line we were mesmerized. It was CCs last “Tramp” film and was silent but with music background.
Crazy special effects devised by him. The story line is wonderful. Paulette Goddard was co-star. So beautifully made by Chaplin, a genius.
If you have never seen this film, recommend you do and be ready for a wonderful heart rending classic.
