I have been a member of TOTV for many years, and remember years past when one could come on this site for thoughts and prayers.

I need to resurrect that feeling of hope today.

Our 47 year old daughter, was diagnosed with inoperable brain tumor, a year ago. She continues to work 40-60 hours a week at her hospital, all the while enduring headaches, and progressive sight loss in one eye.

Friday they gave her a possible 3 year time line, with quick progression after a year.

She is the fighter for all things living, taking in litters of days old abandon kittens, and abused dogs. Makes them whole, then finds good homes for them. All the while using her own money, hence the reason for hours of overtime.

One prayer is good, many prayers may create a peace within.

We know that she can’t be cured, but looking to slow her progression with prayers, so she can continue to do the things she loves.

Thank you for reading, and hopefully some will be able to add our “JENNIFER” to your prayer group.

You have ours.

Don't lose hope. Some decades back Dad was diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, located near his spinal cord, optical nerve, and brain. I don't know the specifics but a surgery was done, and the doctors immediately saw that it was too far advanced for surgical removal. So they closed him back up. We were told that, with radiation and chemo, he might live another six months.

That was in 1972. Dad died in 2004 at age 90, after living over 30 years more than what the doctors gave him. And he DIDN'T die of cancer.

Prayer does work.

Thank you for posting this. I agree with you that more people’s voice in prayer give more strength. When I was a Bible student (non denominational) most of my classmates were children of missionaries and they themselves could think of no other calling than to help people in any way they could. Sometimes they went into countries where they had to learn the language first. Sometimes where there was no food, no clean water, no electricity. Wild dangerous animals, etc. The missionaries job was to help in any way the people could use them. Nursing, help build clean facilities etc. This was a very challenging and dangerous job. (Too much so for me, I became a Bible translator instead.) The only way they would take this assignment is if there were at least 20 people who offered to pray for them on a regular basis. No amount of money, charity etc would convince them to do these dangerous assignments, only prayer.

Yes, you can count on me. I will pray regularly for your daughter, bring her circumstances up to the Lord that she may have the best quality of life as long as she is with us.

We will keep Jennifer in our prayers, of course. You may find it a comfort to watch a movie now playing at the AMC theater in Leesburg. Janice and I saw the new movie "After Death" at a local theater last night. We went in part because I had read a few books about N.D.E. (Near Death Experiences) and because she had her own N.D.E. in the early 1990s as the result of a near-fatal car wreck. The short version was that she was seated on the passenger side of a Mazda RX-7 sports car that was T-boned by a large Lincoln Continental going over 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. Her car was a total wreck and her body was smashed all along her right side by the impact. Her pelvis was broken in three places, she had three broken ribs, her colon ruptured, her bladder ruptured, a bone in her right ankle was broken, and she had numerous deep cuts to her face, arms, and legs, as well as a concussion. The attending physician told her that she would never be able to hike or play golf again and would be in pain for the rest of her life. What was most surprising was that her spirit almost immediately left her body and hovered where the windshield used to be; she could see herself, the blood on the seat she was in, and the driver of the car. She attempted to communicate with the Continental driver. Still, she found that he could not hear her because she was not able to communicate with anyone while she was disconnected from her body. If you want to hear her story, you can contact her.

The movie was well done. It was narrated by a cardiologist who has done a great deal of scientific research on the topic as a result of his experiences with his own patients. There is also narration by Dr. Raymond Moody, a cardiologist, and author of the best-selling book entitled "Life After Life". There are also numerous stories and re-enactments of several survivors who tell their stories as they are illustrated on the screen. There was a continuity to the various stories, and the most common experience was that our spirit entered another world that was altogether different than our present world.

We found it fascinating.

Keep the Faith.
Michael

Jennifer is being uplifted in prayer. My heart goes out to you and your family. Nothing is hopeless. Without giving you false hope, please remember that one day someone died of diabetes and the next day insulin was discovered. A lot can happen in 3 years when it comes to new advances in health care. Hang on to that hope and to your faith. May Jennifer be relieved of some of the pain and side effects of her cancer. My dad had a 3rd ventricular brain tumor. As he progressed he lost his perception of time. It sounds like your daughter is an amazing person. Anyone who cares for precious animals is a wonderful person. God cares for us all and His ways are not our ways. I have great faith and I believe that He brings good things from that which seems like nothing good can result. Stay strong for her and know that there are people who care. She is on my prayer list as are you and your family. May God bring you comfort and may knowing that there are strangers who also care comfort you. People care.

Praying for Jennifer you and family. On a side note, if you haven’t already look up the gamma knife procedure. I suspect your daughter is in the best of hands and has already explored this option but thought I’d mention it just in case. I was surprised when I ran into medical professionals here in Florida who had never heard of it. Not so long ago only a few medical facilities had the equipment for it, hopefully that has changed.

As a child of our loving God, I am living with incurable blood cancer. I know that God can heal me, and when he does, all will know that He did it since doctors have no cure. I too have a daughter, Jennifer. She is often in my prayers. My wife's daughter is a traveling nurse and is living a stressful life since she is captured by worldly living and not walking closely with God's Word. I pray that our heavenly father who hears every prayer, begins to reverse the destructive physical processes attacking your daughter. Give her strength for each day and draw her closer to knowing you and your great love for her. I rebuke, in Jesus name, the illness that is attempting to destroy her. Lord, give her your "Joy unspeakable" in her daily walk. Heal her body from the top of her head to the tip of her toes. Thank you Father for hearing this prayer and that you will begin Jennifer's healing now. In Jesus name. Amen

After reading what some people have written I want to share with you what happened to my husband almost five years ago.

He had a major stroke at 63. He was airlifted from The Villages hospital to Shands, where he stayed for 3 1/2 months, one of those months was in Shands rehab. We lived in the hospital, I didn't leave his side and slept there too. He first started out in ICU Neuro and was not expected to survive. He developed pneumonia twice and sepsis among other things. He had to learn to breath on his own again. I don't even remember everything. Even now looking back so much of it is like a dream. My husband doesn't remember any of it, accept rehab.

I asked everyone for prayers and believe that is why he is here today. Even now he has a long road in front of him but doesn't give up. He was bedbound 2 years ago and is now learning to walk again with the help of a therapist at his side and a walker. Baby steps. He has many more obstacles to overcome. But he has beaten the odds he was given right after the stroke.

My thoughts and prayers are with Jennifer and her family. I will also ask my husband to keep Jennifer and her family in his prayers.

I’m so sorry that you all are going through this. Jennifer sounds like the kind of human that this world needs more of. That’s amazing that she works overtime to help the kittens and pups. Our little fluffy “buoy” is a rescue.
My friend has a cancerous tumor wrapped in her carotid artery and researched natural remedies and found plant based oils etc. She is an amazing survivor who beat the odds, miraculously. Her dr said “I don’t know what you’re doing but it’s working; keep it up!” Her husband is a Christian musician and they are an incredibly sweet and caring couple. Feel free to reach out to me if you’d like to chat with her. She’s a prayer warrior, too! They both are and I’m sure she’d love to even just pray for and be a strength to your daughter. I’ll be praying, too. Sending hugs.

I will keep Jennifer in my prayers.

I also must suggest contact Sanoviv Medical Institute.

Sanoviv has been the last great hope for many people from all over the world, including my son years ago, who is now fine; though he had a different health problem. I know that some people with inoperable brain tumors have gotten help there.

Well you decide what happened. In 2002 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer by a world class
Pathologist at Albany Med.
A first year pathologist at another more famous cancer
Hospital (Sloane Kettering)
deemed it a cancer “look alike
cell”. I am still dancing at the squares with my P.

Peace be with her, and you too.

I experienced this challenge with my 26 yo granddaughter who was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in Michigan.

She immediately went through 8 hours of brain surgery, 2 weeks of targeted radiation, and months of chemotherapy.

Although this was extremely difficult for her, she was able to keep a positive attitude that helped get her through the ordeal.

I can’t give enough praise for the University of Michigan Hospital caring staff and their excellent procedures for her treatments. This all happened 4 years ago and she is currently being monitored since they could not completely remove all of the cancer cells.

Two other factors in my granddaughter’s favor are her age and the promise for improved cancer treatments through clinical trials.

Hopefully your daughter gets the best treatment options available and has a good outcome from this difficult ordeal.
