You should call bargains and treasures on 466 in Oxford. They would have come gave you estimates on worth and hauled if off, sold it for fees. All you would have had to do was sing paperwork and let them in your house to hail it off. Then go pick up check if sold in allotted time. If don’t sell they deal with it.

I did call them and left a message with what I had. They never called back. I'm surprised that no one would take the large cherry cabinet for the wood, there are a lot of good cherry panels in that cabinet.

Wow, they must have store full then? Alternative? Post them in crags list in free section.

Contact the First Baptist Thrift Store. They will come & pick them up. Sales goes to support a free clinic, pregnancy care center, housing for homeless, food pantry, etc.

Almost Perfect Furniture will give you an estimated price on photos sent into them. Just last week we received a check for over $1,200 for a few rooms of furniture. The check received was the amount they quoted us as a result of the photos we sent in.

The panels in that cherry cabinet are glued up 2” wide strips with a lot of stain on them. That affects their use in the way you suggest. Nice looking furniture, but massive.

Those are hard sells. Heavy northern furniture generally doesn't fit the Florida vibe - always best to leave or sell that up there. IMO

China cabinets are hard to get rid of, even for free. Several years ago, in one of our northern moves, I gave mine to a mover. (Actually, you would not believe the stuff I have given to movers over the years.)

If the glass top of those cabinets comes off, leaving a finished top on the bottom, you might be able to give the bottom half away because that part could be useful. But china cabinets are now white elephants and have been for a while.

As far as the roll top desk goes, even if it were an antique rather than a newer one, that will be a tough one to give away, too.

I must ask if you have a Sawzall, aka a reciprocating saw. I am not being flippant. I have found that a Sawzall and a box of contractor bags can solve a lot of problems.

Good luck.

I was in military for 20 plus years, I also gave many items to movers without my consent.
