We shied away from a few models because of the tunnels. The District has information on tunnel heights:
- Two tunnels have a center height of 82"; this cart would have a hard time making it through those tunnels.
- Most tunnels have a side height less than 82"; this cart would need to hug the center to make it through those.
- Two tunnels are listed with a center height of 70" which is likely a typo since it means I could not walk through them without hitting my head

There must be big profit in Golf cars.
I see a another dealership open on 441/27 just south of Walmart.
Or check out Hwy 200 in Ocala.
I say there's got to be 12-24 cart dealerships on that stretch.

Villagetinker, I saw several golf carts in recent years that appear to me should not be allowed on our golf courses because of their tires. I usually play twice a week now but three or more times seven or eight years ago but cannot remember anybody questioning a persons golf cart tires. How about you?

I have not seen any questioned personally, however I believe the "rules" are turf tires are required, and these tires typically have TURF printed on the sidewalls.

Only 40 miles on a charge does not sound like very much. You would constantly be worrying about how far you can go.

Most of these Coleman products these days are just licensing deals that Chinese companies have made with Coleman to have a reputable banner to sell their products under.
Don't expect the quality or customer service to match any original Coleman product that you bought 20+ years ago.
Personally, I would buy a used 5 year old Yamaha cart for the same price as that one, and it will likely last more than 10 years longer as well.

40 miles per charge won't work if you really travel all around in your cart. Going from Spanish Springs to Southern Oaks (16 miles one way), playing 18 holes, and going back is right at 40 miles round trip. Yes...I go everywhere in my cart...rarely drive my auto inside TV.

You said the magic word. If it’s not an egg roll I try not to buy it. Plenty of alternative more friendly sources for products now. I like the people and the food but I try not to support the government owned “businesses”. “If you can’t buy American at least buy from a friend” is my new mantra. And that’s not political, that’s sanity.

The specs lust "off road" tires which are not permitted on the golf courses. The tread would make for a noisy ride on the streets and MMPs.

Really A Coleman ELECTRIC Golf Cart?? How long is that going to last???
Will you be able to get parts in 2 years??? Absolute JUNK.
I knew someone who purchased a Coleman 4 stroke outboard motor because it was a COLEMAN.
Biggest piece of junk, he wasted his money. Just because it says Coleman doesnt mean it's any good.
You would be better off buying a preowned YAMAHA Golf Cart for $7,995.00
It will last forever.

As mentioned, parts of most everything comes from China these days.
I've owned stuff from China in the past (loved Harbor Freight so people who have shopped there know what I mean). Stuff is not necessarily bad, the problem is the quality control. Or no quality control. Case in point: about 15 years ago I bought a Wen 10" drill press from Amazon. The price was right: about $100 less than an equivalent-sized press from better-known American manufacturers. Got it, set it up, and it worked flawlessly. In fact it was one of the few tools I sold when I moved here that I got more on the resale than I paid for the tool. But the base had four bolt-holes on the mounting apparatus that didn't line up with the rest of the tool. Before I could mount it permanently I had to bore out those holes so that they lined up. As I said, worked flawlessly, but with quality control that we might be used to, that press if built here would never have made it out the door.

Tires should be standardized as should be the top speed of a golf cart - no altering of the governor should be allowed.

It looks like Walmart (ChinaMart) is helping China unload old technology golf carts. These are not built for Villages needs and will end up costing significant money later for accessories and battery replacements.
If you want the flexibility to travel anywhere in the expanding Villages community, it is currently safer to select a gas engine cart for now. The lithium carts are getting better but you will be stuck if the battery runs out while you are traveling long distance to the new areas of the Villages! My gas golf cart goes 300 miles on a tank and I only fill it once a month..

We have a 2023 Ezgo Liberty with the tallest roof top that I have seen on Village carts. We have driven through every shorter tunnel in the northern Villages without a problem as long as you don’t drive too close to the walls. If a cart is lifted, then you might want to check the roof height before attempting to go thru those tunnels.

Electric carts have many advantages....less noise.......lower center of gravity.....WAY quicker acceleration and braking due to the lower center of gravity.........never needs SMELLY gas.......range is fine for 90% of users trips here..........MUCH more reliable engine......saves time by NOT driving around for SMELLY gas.
........Plus you are saving the planet AND giving our enemies like Russia and Saudi Arabia less US money.
.........Basically, the oil and gas era is OVER!

I have not seen any questioned personally, however I believe the "rules" are turf tires are required, and these tires typically have TURF printed on the sidewalls.
When I had tires that came with my ‘09 Yamaha replaced the tire guy told me that all the tires on ten inch wheels were actually high speed highway tires for trailers. The design inflation spec is 25 psi but for golf course use to use 20 psi, in deference to the turf.
The advertised Colman cart at WalMart specified it has “off road” tires. It is electric, so it is a heavyweight too.

I sat in the seat of this cart, and I am of average height. My knees were in my chin, so it is a very uncomfortable cart unless you are maybe five foot 9 or less. Then again if your too short your feet may not reach the pedals at all. Very poor design. I guess I am all too happy with my roomy and comfy Yamaha.

I took a close look at it. Cart is lifted and does have tires that will tear up a golf course. On the other side it does have hydraulic disc brakes on the front(as opposed to the junk on the more known brand name carts). With those tire bet the ride is rough and noisy

300 Miles on a tank = 60 miles a gallon. Dealer told me to expect around 35-40 MPG and that is what I get. Unlike a car, driving habits will not change the MPG as cart only has centrifugal clutch.

At 42 MPG equals 218 miles with 5.2 gas tank. You can stretch that if drive like lady going church. But most run around full throttle. Which equals less than 42 MPG. Electric carts are fine but limit on how far can travel on charge. To each their own.

Yep. Those greeners will yet tell you, “But the environment….blah, blah…blah”. Just ignore that you have to charge your cart, which gets its electricity from a power plant, which burns fossil fuel etc. Savethe environment when you toss those costly batteries in the landfill.

With height of 82” I’ll go out on limb and say it won’t clear majority of tunnels. That’s 12” higher than my cart at 70 inches and with arc of tunnels.

This cart would probably be fine for places like "On Top of the World" where gas carts are banned and I don't think they have tunnels like the way they do here, plus it's a much smaller place.
