Who else saw John Travolta's Qantas 707 gaining altitude over The Villages this afternoon about 2:30.

How could you recognize John Travolta from that far away? LOL

I know he lives outside Ocala, but just where? Must be a big place to have a runway for a 707.

I almost didn't recognize him either. He had sunglasses on and a ballcap that said Quantas on the front. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

I love that the planes have a carport for their windshields. Too funny!
But, seriously, how would you know it was his plane overhead?

I would be looking to recognize Kelly Preston. LOL
I am so happy for them upon the birth of another child. What a great couple they make.

Well, a Boeing 707 would now look like a small plane with 4 engines, it would be noisy and you'd be able to see the exhaust which would be somewhat smokey. Apart from that perhaps you'd be able to see the FAA ID# N707JT. I checked but don't seem to be able to find a flight plan but it is quite possible that he has requested that his flight plans not be made public. He has requested that his flight paths not be published on flightaware.com for example. He needs the cover for his aircraft to keep the cockpits and instruments cool in the summer sun - I'm guessing he may even keep them airconditioned when it gets really hot to keep them cool and control the humidity.

He was still ascending and was very low. The tail of the plane was clearly visible. I'm guessing it's the only one around here.

The area is called Anthony when looking at a map. If I remember, it's a little north east of Ocala. Private restricted homes with their own planes and runway.

We drove over to Jumbolair. It is gated and you can not see anything from the gates.
