Are you on Medicare yet?
Or too young and have a different plan? Which one?
Do you have original Medicare or an Advantage plan?
Do you need a lot of specialists? Or just a Primary Care Physician?
Are you here year-round? Or going back north every summer?

This list shows you many options that are available. It does not "recommend" any particular physician.

OP, contact SHINE SHINE - Home (https://floridashine.org/) to discuss your options with an unbiased organization, this is especially true if you need specialists or expect to in the future. Medicare = YOU decide when and WHO to see, ADVANTAGE = THEY decide who and when you get to see a specialist.
I any case plan of a 1 to 3 month wait to get into your practice, and then an additional month to actually see a doctor.
The Village Health System only accepts 3 or 4 ADVANTAGE plans, if you decide to go this route, review these very carefully, especially if you travel.

This document is helpful. Looking for primary doctors that went to medical school in the US. This is hard to find in The Villages.
