Check TV classified section, cart parts. Ron changed my headlights to led and a new world appeared. Quick and a fair price.

I have added motorcycle (DOT approved) driving lights that if aimed correctly light up the road and do not blind on coming drivers. These were setup on a separate switch and fuse, and I only use when necessary.
If you decide to do a DIY, I would advise going to LED headlights and NOT halogen, there are many kits available and these should use the same cutouts and mounting holes already in your cart.

Yup. I used Ron to add a rooftop brake/turn signal light on my old cart...

I looked for Ron under the classifieds golf cart parts and service. I tried several entry points but he never came up. Any further contact info on "Ron"?
thanks

Just so you are aware- thats a 5 LED light...There are places that sell a 3, a 4 and a 6 LED light. Not all LED light installs are the same, and I find many shop price and not look into the gory details of why something is less expensive. 6 LED lights are 4 dollars more and if your going for more light.

Several years ago I had Todd Casey upgrade our 2014 Yamaha EFI headlights to LED. A huge improvement in visibility and way less amperage draw on the battery. The old lights amp draw heated up the light switch, which doesn’t happen with the LED’s. Also, the old lights dimmed when the cart stopped and got brighter as the cart accelerated. The LED’s brightness remains constant regardless of whether or not the engine is running. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Absolutely. I had the same experience with the headlight stalk switch getting hot with the factory halogens. When VGC converted mine to LED, the heating issue went away.

Check reply from AZ Slim on Yamaha LED lights. He provides a phone number for Ron. The lights installed by Ron were brighter than what TV Carts we’re going to install. Get appt. With Ron, show up, a few minutes later you are going home.

Read his comment and pay attention to the DRIVING LIGHTS part.
Those are designed to focus the light down the road, and have a sharp cutoff of light vertically. Safe for oncoming carts.
The LED light strip the Village Golf Cars use are like flood lights. Spread light above the road and blind oncoming vehicles. They are NOT DOT approved for use on a public road. Legally, you cannot have them turned on while in a diamond lane.
