Situation: at the east end of magnolia, there is Reveille cafe. At that location there is an intersection that passes in front of magnolia and intersects with traffic to and from the back side of the plaza. There are top signs for the east/west and none for the front/back side of plaza. Its not uncommon for people to assume its a 4 way. I often see or have people/vehicles rolling into that intersection at the same time. Keep it safe please, make the front/back traffic stop as well.

Where traffic control of some time is desperately needed is 301 and Warm Springs, there was another accident there yesterday, really hard to get out of there safely.

Make it a roundabout.

I would say that those that have the stop sign, need to come to a complete stop before proceeding. If they are currently doing a rolling slide through the intersection, they are in the wrong & would get a ticket.

I wish all intersections in parking lots were 4 way stops.

But apparently unenforceable unless that private property has reached an agreement with local law enforcement and they are requesting enforcement on their lot.

Can I be ticketed for rolling stop signs in Florida parking lots? (https://www.clickorlando.com/traffic/2023/06/08/can-i-be-ticketed-for-rolling-stop-signs-in-florida-parking-lots/)

Stop signs, traffic control devices in law enforcement vernacular, in private parking lots are technically non-enforceable, meaning that a police officer is typically not going to sit in a parking lot and monitor traffic.

Ok, I thought they were rolling into the road that goes behind the plaza to Marsh Bend Trail. But I still think adding more stop signs to intersections where people don't stop already, won't solve the problem. Whereas if people did stop at the stop sign, there wouldn't be a problem.

Have you called the people who have the authority to make that happen?

Agree 100%. Although I don't welcome another traffic light on 301, it is both time-consuming and dangerous waiting to make a left turn from Warm Springs onto 301 South with high-speed traffic to watch for in both directions.

My wife is a member of the Daughters of American Revolution. They built a small garden in the National Cemetery in Bushnell and we both helped maintain it a couple years ago.

At first we drove down Warm Springs Road and turned left on 301 but we realized that was much too dangerous, so we would drive down Marsh Bend Trail, get on 470, and drive west to reach 301.

Seriously, you rarely see LEO on the main roads, and rarely see blue lights unless it’s an accident. Writing a fail to stop tickets it’s going to happen

Several similar situations at plazas in the northern end too. No consistency, drivers should pay attention and not make assumptions. Be alert.

Side note, my 15 year old grand-daughter is learning to drive with her learner's permit. I have taken her out several times. I purchased magnetic signs for the car "Be patient please, student driver."

One day I forgot to remove them. She lives a couple hours from T V. I have to say it was a great drive home. Cars actually stopped tailgating and rushing me. Not that I care if a tailgater wants to pay off my bond, but those magnetic signs make a difference as far as courteous drivers were concerned.

I would guess that the State is waiting until they realign 301 around Coleman which would reconstruct that whole intersection.

West Torch Lake Drive in Brownwood was recently converted to a four-way stop - a safety fix that was needed for a long time.

Be hopeful - Magnolia may get fixed someday.

Rolling stop is not the problem, it happened to me this week. Actually if they rolled through the stop sign it would have been safer because I watch the tires and if they are turning at all on a car to my right or left coming through an intersection I'm much more cautious and pay attention to what they are going to do. When they are at a full stop I am a little more relaxed they are yielding to me.

Earlier this week I was proceeding in the direction of no stop sign and the car stopped perfectly as should have happened but he must have ASSUMED I had a stop sign and knowing they were at the intersection first, pulled into the intersection right in front of me. I locked up the brakes and ended up stopping in time to not hit him. Of course when he realized he was wrong he stopped right in the middle of the intersection........

Either make it a 4 way stop or as a minimum add a sign below the stop sign to indicate cross traffic does not stop, or that it's only a 2 way stop.

Maybe we could get a roundabout put in there.

Truth. Many years ago, OK MANY MANY years ago, I took a course in statistics. You were supposed to ask 100 people a question with a yes or no answer. I decided to save time and count the number of people out of 100 that came to a full stop at a stop sign. I had to fudge my numbers. Not one person out of 200 came to a full stop.

A four way stop sign is particularly dangerous. Who goes next? Likely four DIFFERENT opinions.
