The golf cart paths are collateral damage from the root system of all those beautiful big live oak trees.

That is one reason we drive these off-road vehicles that happen to have golf bags on the back.

And the recent rain allowed dirt to collect on the paths.
Was a member of a private club in S. Florida years ago. Management decided to remove concrete paths and replace with gravel/shell rock paths. ?d the pro why. Per his explanation, trees could not be removed at a reasonable cost and the gravel paths were smoother. 2 years later nothing done one and paths were smooth. Believe it or not, the gravel/shell rock was less costly to maintain than the concrete.

although the ball hit down the cart path will travel much farther, it is most desirable to hit down the fairway, less trees, no broken cart path, shorter distance to the green.
