How many browsers?

Computer Questions; however, since we are on the subject, how many browsers can you have?
I primarily use Firefox but also have IE.
Should I delete one of those and add Chrome? Is it faster?

Should I delete one of those and add Chrome? Is it faster?I have all three of those browsers installed and no, you don't need to delete either of the ones you have installed. However, I can't say for sure that Chrome is any faster for sure since I haven't used it that much, but I think it is.

I have IE as my default and Firefox for everyday use. I keep 2 in case one crashes.

I use Opera for general use...its is faster than all others BUT I can't make it work with tee time system.

Use Opera for almost all web work. Use Firefox for the few sites that do not work with Opera.

Note to Saratoga: I've had no problem accessing te-time system through Opera.

You should be able to run Firefox, IE and Chrome without a problem. I run Firefox with a lot of security add ons. Once in a while I can not access a site or a feature. Then I move to IE which I have set up with a lot less security options. I am using the Beta 9 version and that will not work with one of my sites on certain options. Thus I added Chrome. I think over time Chrome will have better security because of the "sand box" techniques it uses. I will probably increase my use as it gets better.

Do not delete any browsers...........In case you have a problem with 1 browser you can always use the other browser....I have about 4 browsers; just in case...........Google, IE, Firefox & Netscape Navigator.........

Have Firefox and IE. Use Firefox just about all the time, and only use IE when sites don't load Firefox well.

The new Firefox 4 Beta is much faster than the old 3.6 versions. IE is very slow and is very vulnerable for all kind of viruses. Don’t use Chrome. Chrome is well known for sending all kind of data’s to Google. Use instead Iron. Iron is absolutely the same as chrome but the data transfer option is removed.

I primarily use Firefox. I have IE for those links that use it as their default browser. I also use Chrome and Opera, but for everyday use prefer Firefox. It seems to be the most fault tolerant of them all.

I use Chrome on my netbook because it is the fastest and requires the least system resourcs IMHO.
I use Firefore on my primary computers almost all of the time because I love customizing it with Addons. It also works great with linux.
If I go to a webpage that unfortunately is designed to only work with IE Internet Explorer I click on my addon IE tab and it opens the page inside of Firefox using the IE engine. If that does not work, I click on addon Open in IE and IE opens with the page loaded. Firefox has so many great addons and Themes that I just cannot go back to IE.
I also have a portable version on my USB keys and External harddrives that I can run right off of them with no installs to help people who are having browser problems.

FWIW - - - - I've always used IE from Day One. Always worked fine for me. And given that I'm from the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" school of thought, I'd never diddled with anything else. But based on this thread, I thought, "What the heck?" So I downloaded Firefox 4.0 Beta...........and it absolutely leaves IE in the dust performance-wise! I get much faster responses, screen loads, etc. Makes the machine run like it's got a new fancy-schmancy processor or something! I'm a happy camper! :MOJE_whot:
