She is a model and is competing in a contest in which points are awarded, in part, based on public votes cast (similar to America's Got Talent, et al). We can each vote only once per day. our granddaughter taylor is entered to be on the cover and a shoot for a magazine. The casting director will pick the model. An additional part of it is a voting contest, which is almost over and the prizes are minimal, but i'm sure she doesn't want to see her profile only has a few votes.
You can vote 1 time a day from now until new years day, no log on
is required, but voting needs to be done from a different computer.

Again, you are allowed to vote once per day from each computer.

If you look at the winners of these various contests, the popular vote usually only figures into the various prizes given in form of gifts from the model sponsors.

This does give her more exposure though.

WOW is about all that I can say to 2 of the newer posters on here!

There are so many people on TOTV that enjoy helping others in what ever way they might be able to. It is heart warming to see perfect strangers WANTING to help. If you are not one of them, no big deal, just don't bring the rest of us down. And if she does win, it will be on her 'own merit' as the popular vote has little if nothing to do with who wins, but as we have been discussing it does bring her exposure.

I hope you do have an opportunity to support your own beautiful, sweet granddaughter in the future, in what ever way she needs. The gift of family is a beautiful thing. And please do not hesitate to let me know. The world of social networking is an up and coming platform, but it does help to have the support of friends, even if we have never met.

I agree....from the little I know, "any" PR or face time a prospective model can get, especially at a young age, could only help. It may not help in getting an immediate job but it certainly can boost the self-esteem of the individual just knnowing that someone is reading, watching and voting!

I believe that the grandfather--dadspet-- had mentioned that a new contest will be coming up which interests Taylor N. It also sounds like this one only allows a certain number of models to get to the next round and THIS future competition does depend on popular votes.

Have not seen any more information about when that one starts.
