You can reduce the number of allergens in your home by:
1. not having any carpeting
2. keeping your house clean
3. changing HVAC filters as recommended by the manufacturer
4. keeping your HVAC system maintained as recommended by the manufacturer
5. using hypoallergenic pillows and linens
6. having no pets
7. never buying peanutbutter or strawberries or any nuts or nut butter
8. which allergens are you even talking about? Your house is LOADED with things that people can be allergic to, including the sponge you use to clean the counters.
9. don't ever open your windows or doors, ever, for any reason, ever. Many allergens are airborne and will infect the air you breathe before a pro-biotic ever has a chance to do anything.

Google “ ecopriobiotic house filter scam” and you will find a lot of BBB reviews that are not positive.

Yeah definitely snake oil. They don't list what bacteria they think is good for the environment, good in the air. They set you up to have to buy cartridges. I can't find one study on probiotics and allergens.

Save yourself some money and remove your filter, put the A/C on, and spray a can of Lysol into the air intake. And for probiotics, have some yogurt mixed with fresh berries for your daily breakfast.

It's crazy how there's bovine excrement "treatments" continue to take advantage off those desperately for relief from an illness.
The hook is Probiotics are considered dietary supplements, which don't require FDA approval before they are marketed.
Tesla Biohealing is another example, the "device" is a tin can of cement.
Tesla BioHealing & MedBed Centers | Biophotons - Life Force Energy (https://www.teslabiohealing.com/)
FDA issued a warning letter on that one.

I'm the OP. Thanks so much for your responses.
We did have concerns about this, and very thankful that we held off and asked for opinions here.
We decided to forego this - the technology (snake oil???) and effects is questionable - esp due to the cost. BTW, $3300.
Decided to get a HEPA air cleaner/purifier unit for a large room, bedroom. Specifically to provide clean filtered air for sleeping. Ordered one on Amazon...
Thx again folks.

Absolutely correct. And note that #10 is not, and will never be a "Eco probiotic system"

My favorite response to a complaint;
"The probiotics we offer is used in hospitals in Europe and also in many large farms in the United States. We have plenty of scientific case studies from universities that we would be happy to send you if you are willing to sign an NDA."

I’d be curious if you reached out to them or vis versa as it sounds like you had indoor air quality concerns (IAQ) and that was their foot in the door? Anyhow, use the advice given above which is spot on for general IAQ. Also, if you have carpet make sure it’s cleaned on occasion as it’s a trap for contaminants. Doubtful, but if you have a smoker that is a real issue. Indoor plants are another concern if not properly taken care of. Air fresheners, laundry detergents, etc can be an allergen to some. There is nothing wrong with opening windows and doors occasionally (reference #9 above) as your house could actually be to air tight and letting in some fresh air (or air changes) is not a bad thing. I did not stay in a Holiday Inn but do have some IAQ experience in my current profession.

I’m sorry this is garbage. Probiotics is a term used to describe in laymen’s terms bacteria we need in our guts to survive. They have nothing to do with air quality.

You can make your own probiotics at home and not pollute your house with one more unneeded systemdispensing unseen unproven stuff into the air.
From a Facilities Specialist, save your money and talk to professional nutritionalist, or doctor and stay away from the carpetbaggers and snake oil salesmen.

Well said! This sounds like a scam. Well, of course, a lot of the ”probiotic” stuff is worthless, but this sounds worse than most. “Probiotics” are BACTERIA, whether or not they are beneficial. Why would any sensible person want to spray bacteria through your HVAC system? Consider what these “probiotics” in your yogurt doe in your intestine and what they smell like when they’ve sat in your large intestine for a few hours? They don’t smell like roses! There are people in this state who worry about Covid vaccines and say they are “unproven” even though they’ve been used on hundreds of millions of people. Spraying “probiotics” in your house! Talk about unproven!

BTW, when the sales rep was here we asked a ton of questions. Had doubts re the technology and effectiveness of course - Did NOT sign up. We left it that we want some referrals, actual customers in TV. He said that he'd get back to us on that. This was Wednesday....and nothing. If there is no feedback from him, very obvious that it's not worthy of a try or certainly purchase.

I would ask to see the studies showing effectiveness of the “treatment”. You need to know what all residents will be exposed to if the system is installed. Do you have a particular problem that this system specifically addresses? Proven and well studied technology is usually effective and cheaper. Water filters and air filters such as hepa or MERV 8-11 and properly located, usually do the job. Reduce carpets and work with an allergist/ doctor to find triggers.

On the face of it this is a scam. You can't breathe a probiotic, you have to swallow it. What I find very concerning is that you allowed this "salesman" into your home. I think this is a huge red flag, the product he is selling is so ridiculous that I wonder if he was "casing the joint." Please be much much more cautious going forward. How did he even find you?

Agreed big time with this! Probiotics are usually are by mouth. One drinks them or eats them. I have never heard of any device that dispenses things into the air for one to inhale or consume. A quality air filter system would possibly a good thing - not even hospitals dispense by air?????

Their work around is Probiotics are considered a food supplement by the FDA.
If this company made anticrobial clams, the FDA would have cause for action.
