This is a very good book. The book is set mainly in Maine and turns out David Baldacci is a close relation to a former Governor of Maine. John Baldacci - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Baldacci)

Here's another book - non-fiction, but the narrative informs and entertains:

https://www.amazon.com/Mac-Baldrige-Cowboy-Reagans-Cabinet/dp/1493017993

I have to admit my bias: B.Jay is my cousin (and Chris is therefore my cousin-in-law). Really great book, I paid for an e-book online, but he insists he'll send me an autographed hard copy of it some day.

Thanks for the suggestion.

My maternal great grandfather was a railroad lawyer and was in WWII in his 40s or 50s as an organizer for materials for the war effort getting where there were needed.
