The New CEO

So the new CEO decides it's time to rid the company of slackers. On a tour of the facilities, he notices a guy leaning against a wall. The room was full of workers.

Seeing a chance to show he meant business, he says to the guy, "How much money do you make a week?" A little surprised, the young man says, "I make $400. Why?"

The CEO says, "Wait right here." He walks back to his office and comes back in two minutes. He hands the guy $1,600 in cash and says, "Here's four weeks' pay. Now get out and don't come back!"

Feeling like a boss now, the CEO looks around and says, "Does anyone want to tell me what that goofball's job was around here?"

From across the room, a voice says, "Pizza delivery guy from Domino's."

I have actually worked for a couple of those. I was working in business during the years when companies were being bought out and new management installed.

I saw this happen at my first job (50yrs ago) when the Big Bad Boss fired a guy for smoking on the job who turned out to be the driver of a truck picking up product. :)

My boss’ boss came to me enraged that he walked thru the factory and saw people sitting at a table. He demanded that I go take care of the slackers. I walked to the area and sure enough there were people sitting at a table….enjoying their lunch! I called the knucklehead boss and tried to explain they were at lunch and he wouldn’t accept my answer so I told him that they were all back to work. Just so happened the whistle blew ending lunch as I got there.
