I am unfamiliar with lawn irrigation and wonder if I should turn my sprinkler controller to "off" when we are expecting freezing temperatures? My watering day/time is tomorrow at 5a.m.
Thank you for your advice.

Yes, I would turn it off and I also put a Planket - plant blanket on my plants that suffered last year and are just coming back this year.

Yes.
With all the rain we've had, irrigation could have been shut off two months ago.

Thank you. I recently moved from Arizona where my "desert landscaping" aka rocks, and the cacti took care of themselves.

Mine are off, I run them manually when needed.

Some of the sprinkler controllers are designed to shut off at low temperatures, similar to the rain sensor.
