How cute throwing Kisses and making hand signal hearts for his girlfriend Taylor Swift during the game. Wouldn't it be a show if all 53 team members on the roster of each team did the same.

Don’t you just hate kindness and affection. The world could use much less of that stuff. Oh, wait… it does have much less.

I rather watch more groin adjustments and scratching. That’s where it is at.:beer3:

So if I was single and have girlfriend that worth almost billion dollars I’d be throwing kisses and anything else she would want. :duck:

Her music appeals to many people. She has a huge fan base for a reason. https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/taylor-swifts-eras-tour-movie-is-now-the-most-successful-concert-film-and-doc-ever/ar-AA1mDFpR

I cannot say I have been a fan of her music but did go through her entire concert film. It is very much about the power of women and a celebration of coming of age and after by a very talented singer/songwriter.

I did not know she had much of a track record. She seems to keep her private life private except for the Kelce romance. Taylor Swift - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taylor_Swift)

You don't know that they don't, just not covered. You also don't know how many wives and girlfriends stay home during the games. Just because the TV Networks and the NFL take advantage of the "love" story" doesn't mean it doesn't exist with other players.

The same way I don't want groin adjustments (or similar) while on a first date.

Why do you care? Does his love for his girlfriend upset you so much that you have to post on a message board complaining about it, or are you a fan of the opposing team and needed to find something to whine about. Or just a broken hearted Swifty.

Historically especially quarterbacks such as Roger Staubach have gone on to become rich and famous, prospering from their names. I do remember a defensive end, Gino Marchetti of the Colts when they were in Baltimore, getting into restaurants. Gino's Hamburgers - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gino%27s_Hamburgers)

I think I have seen Mahones in commercials although I DVR almost everything and zip through commercials, ignoring them as much as possible.

I remember Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe but I think that was after he retired.

It doesn't bother me at all to see Taylor Swift cheering in the stands. Not even a little. Travis Kelce was one of the best tight ends in the history of football long before he met Taylor Swift. He is flat out great. 11 catches yesterday, some of them spectacular, and most at the most crucial moments. He now holds the NFL record for post-season receptions. Give the man his due. It helps that Mahomes is the best active QB in the NFL. And Taylor Swift is one of the most talented and accomplished artists in the history of music. I have enjoyed every playoff game this year. Life is way too short....I am not letting anyone rob me of the joy of watching a good game.

It's sort of like Byron Nelson once saying, that Johnny Miller was the greatest golf he every saw ... when Johnny was playing. I think Gronk was the best, when he was healthy and playing. Longevity surely counts in the long run.

I heard on the news this morning that Super Bowl tickets are between 8000 and $10,000 each. Is this a joke. Maybe Kelsey and his billionaire girlfriend could buy the stadium out and let average every day Americans attend the game seems like this is set up for the rich and what do they do with all that money anyway, the NFL greed, greed greed

You need to find out if those were the original prices or the resale prices.

I heard a number like $8,000 for the AFC game in Baltimore. Up until a few years ago I had season tickets at that stadium. I was never charged anything remotely close to even $1,000 for a game. Sure, there were more expensive tickets and packages but not 40 times what I was paying. EXCEPT, there was the resale market where I could easily sell my tickets for at least 4x the price I originally paid.

I have no idea what the NFL charges for Superbowl tickets but I suspect there are very few, if any, in the $10,000 price range. On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they were being offered for that much on the resale market.

There are plenty of things to criticize the NFL for but they have little control over ticket scalping.

First, her presence, if anything, improved his performance. He was 11 for 11 on receptions.

Second, I'm certain I speak for many others when I state I'm glad you are not the coach and Andy is.

Some people maybe don't like her stance on issues. Certainly Fox News (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhaxQyvw0H0)has been attacking her because she is pushing young people to register and vote. What a terrible thing to encourage participatory democracy.

Sometimes having that "certain person" in your corner is a big help and spurs you on to do your best. I'm sure if he or his coach felt his girlfriend was a distraction and was causing poor play, she would be asked not to attend. Clearly they haven't needed to have that conversation. And let's face it, the publicity is a positive factor for the NFL. I read that she has generated something like $330 million for the Chiefs, and her involvement has led to increased viewership of NFL games. What's not to like.

I get annoyed at being reminded that *this* game is important because there is a famous person in the stands - see, there she is. And just in case you forgot, there she is again and again and .....

It's wonderful that she is there to support the guy she is dating. It's wonderful that Eminem is at the Lions game to support the team he likes. It's also wonderful that people in MD eat crabs. But none of that has anything to do with the game.

Swing the camera to show the random, excited fan or the fan doing something particularly noteworthy? Hey, that's fun. Swing the camera to the same fan time after time? Now it's becoming annoying.

The story should be the players on the field not the guests in the owner's box (or the menu at the restaurant down the street).

This seems mostly about selling stuff through advertising. Taylor Swift beings in more eyeballs which translates into more money coming in from items bought due to savvy marketing.

Some of those Super Bowl commercials are works of art.

I was thinking along the same lines. Here I was watching the game, actually following each step, when the camera panned in on “a fan”. Then again and again. I finally looked up who was this “fan” and it was Swift. Next time they panned on her I actually took a look and instead of thinking now which down are we on, I was thinking, is that a red cashmere toque she’s wearing? I wonder where she got it? So yes, too much was distracting from the game. On the other hand, I am thinking of getting a similar toque.

Every NFL game is a few minutes of slam/bam action and many more minutes of huddles, injury issues, timeouts, etc. Generally speaking those minutes are filled with the game announcers stories, anecdotes and analysis. A few seconds of Taylor Swift or Alexander Swift is a pleasant diversion. It is incredible to me that some manly men see that as a threat.

Why can’t those believers of conspiracy theories see they are being used when they allow themselves to be constantly stoked with anger, hatred, fear, paranoia and all that entails?

Those who start the stoking have nothing but contempt for the American people — and those for whom they have the most contempt are the susceptible fools who believe them.

It's all coming from one side because that side constantly feels attacked by the MSM and most celebrities. Maybe if there was an even-handed balance of coverage....nah, never gonna happen.Well, at least there is acknowledgement that it's all coming from one place....that, in and of itself, is a positive.

Hopefully, it will all calm down. The country really does have bigger issues than the culture wars.

The thing that bothers me the most is not the politics. There are a lot of people who are allowing grievance and anger to rob them of their joy in life. Life is too short for this. It's a football game. Maybe Taylor Swift will be on screen for 1 minute out of almost 4 hours of coverage. How can anyone allow that to rob of their enjoyment of this game? She is the biggest star in this country, and one of the biggest stars in the world. There are a few soccer stars who may be more popular world-wide. I am quite sure if they show up to any non-soccer game in their home country, the TV coverage will show them for a minute or more as well.

The conspiracy theories being floated are preposterous and ridiculous. The game is not rigged. KC has been in the Super Bowl 3 of the past 4 years and won two of them, long before Travis Kelce started dating Taylor Swift. They are a great football team, they don't need the NFL to influence the outcome.

Travis will be put through the meat grinder next week. The Ravens will chew him up and spit him out in stone cold fashion. The “cute” couple will be seen a whole lot less after that.

How’d that statement work out for you?

I'd love to see the 49ers win but you will probably see the Chiefs with the Trophy. Vince Lombardi Trophy - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vince_Lombardi_Trophy)

I love Taylor Swift's music so I am not in that category. I am all for girl power.

Enjoy yourself. Have a good game, Mr. Swift.

Although I am not a fan of her music, I wish she was playing at halftime instead of the noise pollution (Rap) that is on the agenda. At least she actually plays music and has eye appeal. She was offered millions to appear at halftime but declined as she doesn’t want to distract from her boyfriend’s attempt to win a third Super Bowl. Good for them.

I don't think that half time entertainers are actually paid. The NFL does pay the cost associated with producing the show. Maybe there are some money transfers from other sources.

They are paid union scale. At least, that is what I got from a quick search.

And the data has been crunched (https://www.si.com/nfl/2024/01/30/taylor-swift-actual-amount-airtime-nfl-games-will-shock-critics-kansas-city-chiefs). During the over 3 hours of football coverage of the KC/Balt game, they showed people eating crab cakes for a total of 27 seconds. And they showed Swift for a total of 44 seconds.

Some people maybe don't like her stance on issues. Certainly Fox News (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhaxQyvw0H0)has been attacking her because she is pushing young people to register and vote. What a terrible thing to encourage participatory democracy.

"FOX News!" Everybody drink!

And "attacking her"? Not hardly...

That is hardly much coverage.

The lady puts on a very good show. You can rent her Eras concert performed in LA on Vudu.

Someone did the math on her "coverage" in every game she's attended.

It's a grand total of 150 seconds of game time... The horror...

You're easily annoyed...

Those two seem like a lovely couple. I hope the make a go of it.

Tom Brady's former wife was on Facebook every so often and seemed like a very intelligent lady and she is also very wealthy. She was and maybe still is a covergirl.

I would expect they had the camera on her when she was at Tom Brady's games.

It looks like the "happy" couple won't need to rely on public assistance.

You don't know that they don't, just not covered. You also don't know how many wives and girlfriends stay home during the games. Just because the TV Networks and the NFL take advantage of the "love" story" doesn't mean it doesn't exist with other players.

Yep, some probably to two or three on string. :faint:

How cute throwing Kisses and making hand signal hearts for his girlfriend Taylor Swift during the game. Wouldn't it be a show if all 53 team members on the roster of each team did the same.
He was real cute after going on stage drunker than Cooter Brown
