But, I know several people who have installed wash toilets. After you have had hip surgery or knee replacement, or become fragile and extremely ill, you will understand. It is an embarrassment to have someone (especially a stranger like a home nurse) wipe your butt clean. Some people want to keep their dignity. I am thinking about installing one myself, JIC. I am not certain which will be worse, having my butt wiped or having to do it daily for my husband. Besides, think of all the money you can save on toilet paper while avoiding the long lines at Costco. Getting old is so much fun...

The suite we just stayed in at the Bellagio had two $10,000 toilets. Hubby is a retired plumber and he priced them lol.
They had auto open on approach, auto flush plus all the bells and whistles. Neat toilets! Toto was the brand.

We’ve been using a bidet for about fourteen years now. I can’t say enough good things about it. We got the kind you replace the toilet seat for and plug into at the back. (I would use an electrician to install the plug)
