I have been reading the book Masters of the Air: America's Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller but it is hard going. Very well written but also very tragic with so much death and destruction.

Dangerous occupation for sure but they did end your commitment after so many flights into Europe. For an outstanding book on this read Catch 22 a classic anti war book for sure.
