Are there any walking trails in or near the Villages that offer a little more resistance than just flat walking? Maybe a few small hills where you feel like you’re getting a bit more of a workout?

As you drive to Orlando, you will notice the area has some rolling hills as you get near Clermont. That range of hills goes south to beautiful Bok Tower near Lake Wales and north to Ocala National Forest.

Just south of Clermont on route 27 is Louisa State Park and they have some nice walking trails that are a little hilly. Clermont is a very nice place to visit with a few good restaurants near the lake and a walking trail.

So get in your car and drive around and explore outside The Villages.

I was raised in Fort Myers, which was very nice but no areas to explore. If we drove west, there was the Gulf of Mexico, and to the east there was the Everglades. In The Villages, you can go all four directions, and you might even find some hills to the East.

The trails are mostly flat. You could add some weights ….wrist, ankle or vest. Or use the equipment at some of the outdoor exercise stations.

The gym. It's a treadmill.
This one is a new one, but Im' sure more complaints about the flatness of FL will replace the dog poop threads!
