I was wondering if anyone ships their golf clubs by UPS or FEDEX to the Villages instead of hauling them through the airports. I find it much easier to ship my clubs ahead. I will be renting so I really don't have a forwarding address to send them to. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sent my woods, hybrids, and putter today via UPS from Maine to TV. Cost $23. Will buy a used set of irons and a golf bag somewhere in TV next week.

Tonight we are sleeping in Maine; tomorrow night, and for the next 88 nights, we'll be sleeping in TV :pepper2:

Dirigo,

May want to check with one of the TV championship golf courses. The wife and I carried both sets of our clubs in one travel bag for the plane trip down.
When we checked in at the club house, we were told we needed two bags in the cart to play. One of the nice gentlemen at the cart shed loaned us a golf bag to meet the requirement. I believe they keep several there just for this purpose. It also gets them a few nice tips for this service.

I used this service when I traveled from CA to FL a few years ago. They picked up the clubs at the house and delivered them to my destination, then reversed it on the way home. Much better than lugging a travel bag through the airport.

I'm lugging mine down (both mine and my wife's) to TV next week. That will be the last time. I bought another set to leave up north for my return visits to family and friends.

Whether you lug them or ship them - still a PIA!

I have to agree with you. 3 more trips of lugging or shipping and I am done with that.
