I received an email from an address of Citizens bank asking me to update the account info. (I have on line banking with Citizens) I was told my account would be suspended if I didn't update the records by Jan 2, 2011. The email asked me information the bank should already have and info I was uncomfortable about giving over the Internet. I called the bank. Yes, this was a scam email and the bank lady siad she's had other calls about this issue. DO NOT even open this email. (Ironically, The email address was from Chasebank but had the Citizens Bank letter head.) The bank will never ask for info on the Internet.

Did you also happen to let Chase Bank know? They might be interested. Here's where you can alert them. https://www.chase.com/index.jsp?pg_name=ccpmapp/privacy_security/fraud/page/report_fraud

I already deleted the email. I am going by memory. I will do that anyway. Thanks for the idea. These ****bast***s should not get away wiith this ****. So many people are dishonest. (Editors note) I bleeped out the words, not Tony. I gave enough letters for you to figure out what I was trying to say.

LOL....and you said it so well.... ;) No they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. When I lived in CA, I got something similar from a Sun Bank I believe it was. Not any bank we had on the left coast. Sadly this sort of crap has been going on for years.
