I'm looking to rent for a year (or possibly six months) before buying a home in TV.
Are there realtors that would show me rentals?
Would prefer unfurnished one or two bedroom with lease beginning Sept 1st, 2024.
Thanks!

You could even look on line at Realtor.com. They have a rental tab on the home page.

Thanks for the replies!
Short term seasonal rentals are easy to find. Not as easy to search for homes in TV that will offer 12 month lease.

No. How would they get paid to show you a rental?
While it is true that some real estate offices have divisions that manage rentals, they are quite differnt then Realtors.

Any particular reason you want a realtor?
I looked on the website rentfromavillager & starting Sept 1 & running for 6 months I turned up some possibilites. There are multiple other rental sites.

Please don't confuse this company with The Villages. The actual name of the company is "Hometown Property Management". It is a private company that is not owned or managed by The Villages.

Does it matter that it is not owned or managed by the Villages? I am a REALTOR for another brokerage and I show rentals in the Villages, or anywhere someone desires actually.

Of course it matters. Most people want to know who they are doing business with. It is just not accurate to tell people that The Villages has a property rental department and to provide a phone number for another company.

Call Zach Watson. He is a realtor in the villages. Zach and I own a 2 year old patio villa in Citrus Grove. With a golf cart. He also manages several other properties. His number is 352-661-0730. We have never missed a month in two years. It is important to book early.
Thanks

That is SMART to rent in order to get a "feel" for the different Villages. I would say that it is best to include the SUMMER MONTHS in your rental time interval. Because it is VERY hot and getting HOTTER each year. Different people have differing tolerances for high heat and humidity. Also there is more mold and pollen in inland Florida than up north.

Yes a 12 month lease! I've lived in FLA before and it does get nice and toasty June - Sept. That's my fav time to head to the beaches. :)
