While searching the residence on June 21, 2023, officers confiscated several electronic devices for further analysis. These devices were sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for forensic analysis.

After reviewing results sent back from the FDLE, officers at Sumter County Sheriff’s Office determined probable cause for Rosati’s arrest for possession of child pornography.

Please explain to me why the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, knowing it was dealing with a child porn case took nearly 8 months to report back to Sumter County to get him arrested. Alternatively, the Florida Dept rapidly reported to Sumter and it was our local officers who did nothing. But somebody took way too long to get this arrest ordered.

I thought child porn was a priority. Apparently not in this case.

I thought child porn was a priority. Apparently not in this case.He was UPLOADING the files perhaps with intent to sell. A longer investigation would help catch those on the other end. Sad to say, it could be a human trafficking case. Law Enforcement has to observe those who are buying and exactly what they are purchasing. Simply pictures? Or something much worse.

Probably because all of the facts about the case have not been revealed yet. Clearly it took some time for LE to develop the probable cause necessary to get a judge to sign off on an arrest warrant. There could be a number of legitimate reasons why yet you are quick to jump to a conclusion and start pointing a guilty finger. The real world doesn't always unfold like it does on popular crime shows. These things often take a lot of time and resources to conclude.

It appears you are making many assumptions about the timeline and who took how long and who did nothing! After reviewing the article several times, the only date in the entire article was June 21, 2023!

This isnt a 1 hour TV show where everything is resolved between commercials. Its extensive and tedious work so you should be thanking the officers for not giving up instead of criticizing.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported approximately 4,000 cases for Central Florida in 2020 and nearly 6,000 in 2021..

looks like the Florida department of law enforcement forensic office has others , more than one case .
Not sure one’s motivation to throw all law enforcement under the bus .
They did a thorough examination , determined all involved in this case which takes time .

Why don’t you request a FOIA on this case and do some research?
